When the custody and immigration status of an unaccompanied minor in this country in 2000 took center stage, President William Clinton‘s Attorney General Janet Reno took a lot of flack for doing the right thing—returning him to his homeland of Cuba. The Obama Administration’s turning a blind eye to the problem of children flooding into this nation’s southern borders illegally, without proper supervision, is wrong and impacts negatively on law abiding US citizens and those waiting in line for their chance at citizenship.
It is unconscionable that kids and others whose surge in making a run for the border are being rustled up and hustled off to more remote places in the US while the plight of many of our own poor is ignored. The insistence that states and local communities bear the burden of these federal government actions on immigration which have had no Congressional vote, shows that Immigration Reform cannot be achieved in good faith when we can’t trust the government to follow our laws.
Why the possibility of using Historically Black Colleges and Universities, such as the recently closed St. Paul’s College, as storehouses for these unfortunate dislocated humans is not being protested by the Black community is beyond me? Again, seeing Mr. Obama exploiting us, knowing the resistance of the Blacks to his foolishness will not be challenged even in view of the disruption such moves will make?
This also highlights the crisis in so many of our Black Colleges, now including Wilberforce University. The crisis in student and college welfare could use some of the attention the Obama Administration is bestowing on non-citizens who are also getting preferential treatment with the American Dream Act which for other poor citizen children has become the nation’s nightmare.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook and Twitter, and follow our friends at RepublicanLegion.com on Instagram.
