Rome Smith, who works at the Cumberland County Juvenile Detention Center, wrote on Facebook regarding the execution-style murder of Cannon Hinnant.
“He should’ve ducked. Y’all always trying to sneak diss and discredit a black person being killed innocently by police. Blame cannon’s parents for not watching him!!! F Y’ALL.”

So a child outside playing with his siblings and gets shot by someone is the fault of the parents?
County officials did not identify him by name, but confirmed the suspension and denounced the online comments as “shockingly insensitive and racist in tone,” NJ.com reports.
“We will not tolerate county employees using social media to broadcast hateful messages,” Cumberland County Freeholder Director Joseph Derella said. “This is not who we are and we intend to pursue the strongest action available to us.”
A New Jersey detention officer, referring to 5-year-old Cannon Hinnant, who was shot to death in an execution-style murder as he was riding a bicycle, allegedly wrote that Cannon “should’ve ducked.”
NJ.com reported that Smith had been suspended, adding, “In a statement that did not identify Smith by name, county officials confirmed the suspension and condemned the remarks as ‘shockingly insensitive and racist in tone.’” NBC News confirmed the suspension, noting, “A spokeswoman for the county, Jody Hirata, confirmed to NBC News that Smith is an employee of the county and has been suspended over the post.” More
If the prosecutor of this case settles for anything less than the death penalty, with this much overwhelming proof, there better be a huge protest!https://t.co/pm7qDWxVyV

There should be a fast track for the death penalty on clear cut cases like this one. https://t.co/t59xYU6iBP

Rome Smith needs to be fired not just suspended! This guy shouldn’t be working around kids, he’s a dangerous liability. This was a 5-year-old boy innocently riding his bike having fun. The guy who shot him was a friend of the family.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook and Twitter, and follow our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
