There Is a Democrat in Office… Nukes for Everyone!

What’s with the Democrats and their “peace in our time” mantra? It’s more like “peace at any cost.” Is the Obama administration really this stupid and/or naïve? Do they really think that talks with a country as radical as Iran will bear the fruit of peace? I’m serious! Is that really what they think?

Sometimes I think we on the right give these leftists a lot more credit than they deserve. We postulate that everything they do is somehow thought out and calculated down to the nth degree – that they plot and scheme and are somehow always a step or two ahead of everyone. That may be, on occasion, but certainly not here.

iran_s640x427They must honestly think they can negotiate with Iran. As if Iran will do so in good faith. To me, this is just another demonstration of leftist peacenik wishful thinking.

I say “another demonstration,” for this has happened twice before with the same result, and both times during dimwitted Democrat administrations.

Of all the countries with nuclear capabilities, 28 I believe, the two most potentially dangerous and certainly most unstable are North Korea and Pakistan.

Who allowed both to obtain and further their nuclear programs? Why, it was our last two Democrat presidents, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter. Is there a pattern forming?

In the late 1970s, Pakistan was well on its way to developing nuclear weapons and reports, that were declassified a few years ago, indicate that the Carter administration “failed miserably” in their efforts to dissuade Pakistan from its enrichment efforts. The report said that Carter administration officials were left “scratching their heads” over what to do. Carter attempted the ever-popular “carrot and stick” technique. Needless to say the strategy was a miserable failure.

The Clinton administration may have been even worse, using the old “carrot and carrot” approach.

Recognizing the success Jimmy Carter had with Pakistan, the Clinton administration dispatched him, unofficially, to begin talks with North Korea. Good call! Then Clinton, using that genius Madeleine Albright, guaranteed food and fuel aid to North Korea if they just “promised” to freeze and rollback their nuclear ambitions.

Shockingly, they did just that. Of course, North Korea lied. Who would have seen that coming? An evil communist country being run by a lunatic, lied. To think, we couldn’t take the North Koreans at their word. What has this world come to?

Now, we have our new crop of foreign policy brainiacs led by John Kerry. What are the odds of success – given the combination of arrogance and naïveté of Obama and Kerry. They don’t seem to understand that they are not dealing with spineless Republican politicians. Sticks and stones are all Iran knows. Names can’t hurt them. You can’t call them racists or claim they want to kill the poor. They already are. Carrots simply won’t work. They never do!

The world is watching. So if you are a country with nuclear ambitions, just be patient and wait for the next Democrat to be elected President of the United States and you’ll be all set.

Nukes for everyone!
