Many conservative bloggers are claiming that they are being terrorized with a deadly prank in which fake 911 calls are made claiming to be them which results in armed policemen coming to their doors and in many cases they have been threatened by the police and could have been killed.
At this point at least two conservatives have reported being victims of “SWATing.”
In at least one of the recordings of the call to 911 the caller identified himself as the resident of the home and claimed to have shot his wife. This prank was pulled on Patrick Frey. The recorded call is below and more detail is given at the blogger’s website.
From the tone of the man on the phone, one would think it wasn’t serious at all. Second, it would seem that the 911 dispatch would have verified the number of the call, though I confess a cell phone could have been used.
The most recent prank involved Erick Erickson from Macon, GA. According to Fox News Frey claims that he,
was awoken shortly after midnight by sheriff deputies after they received a call about a shooting inside his home. In a purported recording of the 911 call, the caller can be heard saying: “I’d like to report a shooting … I shot her, my wife.” Police ordered him at gunpoint to get outside, then handcuffed him until completing a search and finding his wife and children safe.
Fox went on to report,
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to FoxNews.com that deputies responded to his Frey’s house on the date in question. The department later filed a report on the incident with the FBI.
Frey said talks with nationwide experts suggested this was a case of SWAT-ing and says he and all other victims have written about activist and convicted felon Brett Kimberlin.
Brett Kimberlin is the convicted “speedway bomber” that is now tied directly to the State Department. All of these bloggers have been trying to get the story out about Kimberlin.
Robert Stacy McCain, another blogger who has written on Brett Kimberlin, says he has also been harrassed by Kimberlin, though it did not involve SWATing.
McCain said, “To continue reporting the story, I had to get out of there or any other place where Brett Kimberlin knew where I was. But if he thinks he’s going to pull the same thing with me, he’s got another thing coming.”Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook and Twitter, and follow our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
