Climate activists blocked roads and disrupted the morning commute in D.C. today.
According to the event’s Facebook page: “This is the mass uprising that everyone with climate anxiety has been waiting for. This is an uprising for life itself, fighting back against the forces of destruction. This is your chance to take action to save the people, plants, and animals you love. Let’s rise to the challenge and shut down DC!”

Climate activist groups plan to “Shut Down D.C.” early Monday morning, aiming “to take action all over the district to disrupt business as usual.”
The protest follows a weekend of climate strikes across the country and coincides with the United Nations Climate Action Summit in New York.
According to the event’s facebook page: They “will block key infrastructure to stop business-as-usual, bringing the whole city to a gridlocked standstill.”
“Parents, workers, college students, and everyone who is concerned about the climate crisis will skip work and school and put off their other responsibilities to take action on the climate crisis,” the page adds. More
Apparently the way to save the environment is to force people to idle in their cars while you stop traffic to twerk for climate change https://t.co/Byld4CwU4G

They have been listening to “Chicken Little” way too much. The sky is not falling. The climate changes naturally over time. We either adapt or die. That’s just how the earth has always worked.

The lack of self-awareness is startling. This generation uses more energy per capita than any other generation before them. In the past families owned one car, now every person owns a car, they can’t sneeze without running to their iPads, cell phones, computers, and they watch cable TV 24/7. They demand air conditioning and create more garbage per person than any other generation before them. They should be looking in the mirror.

How did they all get there? Did they drive with their AC on? Did they stop at Starbucks for their coffees and treats? Did they use their devices. What is used to make all those products? Maybe a counter protest to enlighten them.
