BuzzfeedUK’s science editor Kelly Oakes recently declared on Twitter, “All I want for Christmas is full Communism now.”
It's interesting the warped mind of an individual that would use the terms Christmas and Communism in the same sentence, much less in light of the fact that Christmas is normally understood as the time with the Savior of the world was born to give His life for His people to set them free from the bondage of sin, not put them under the tyranny of Communism, which is a system that attacks that Savior and His law.
Shortly after, Oakes set her Twitter account to private. Coward.
But the internet doesn't forget. Here's her tweet.
However, that didn't stop people from commenting on her Christmas wish.
Actor James Woods simply posted her tweet with the words, "
#BuzzFeed editor. Enough said."

Then there were these shots:
@kahoakes No communism for christmas I'm afraid, but I see you gave yourself an Iron Curtain around your account. Please keep it up. Or delete your account. There's enough cancer on Twitter already.

Sounds like u have never lived under it! Some of us have.

Ever notice no one is escaping capitalistic democracies for communist states? Yet people have always fled communist states for free nations. Feel free to move to North Korea, Cuba, China or Venezuela.

That last one is rather important. We often see Hollywood elitists and such threaten to leave the US over political elections and other things, but in the end, they continue to stay for the most part, except for the truly moronic, but then we didn't want them to stay in the first place.
Why is that? It's because with all our problems, they know that a Communist land is far worse than living in a united States.
And with making her Twitter account private, Oakes apparently went on a blocking crusade blocking anyone and everyone that disagreed with her, which must have taken her the better part of the day.
One Twitter follower noted that.

One Twitter user had the best advice he could give her to make her Christmas dreams come true, and that's simply to move to a Communist country.
Go live in a communist country. It’s very simple Kelly.

Exactly right, but these "I think Communism is cool" people don't have the guts to actually put their money where their mouths are and lead by example. You don't see Ms. Oakes giving all her things to her neighbors and the less fortunate, do you? What about the money she makes? Nope, not there either.
In fact, it reminds me of a young man who came to our church years ago. He has been seeing one of the young girls and honestly, I don't know what she ever saw in him, but that aside, after we had finished eating, I noticed he was off to the side with several of teens and kids and they were talking. So, I went over to see what the conversation was about.
Turns out, he was pushing Communism as the thing that would truly bring peace, prosperity and a utopia.
Now, this guy barely made enough to survive as he worked for Time Warner Cable as a customer service representative.
I asked him how he was leading that theory of his by example and he looked at me like a deer in the head lights. "What do you mean?" he queried.
I simply pointed out that he did make more than what it took to live as evidenced by several things. He owned an automobile, a cell phone, video game system, lots of clothes and shoes and many more things I went on to list.
He agreed that he did, but protested he needed those things.
Of course, we all know you don't need a cell phone or video game system, but my point was that he was not doing the very thing he claimed would be the answer to men's problems. He only thought it was a cool idea, but he had not put it into practice.
He also protested that people who didn't work should be given any of his things too.
Well now, that's part of Communism.
This is why many of us protest Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, the welfare state and grants and all sorts of government goodies that are taking from one person with threats of imprisonment and fines and given to another person. Every single one of those things is not a "safety net," they are a tool for oppressing people and making them more dependent upon government.
That Socialistic road is the path to Communism.
However, this is not Buzzfeed's first time in defending Communism.
Just last month, President Donald Trump's honored the victims of Communism.
“Over the past century, communist totalitarian regimes around the world have killed more than 100 million people and subjected countless more to exploitation, violence, and untold devastation,” the White House said in a statement after Trump declared Nov. 7, “National Day for the Victims of Communism.”
“These movements, under the false pretense of liberation, systematically robbed innocent people of their God-given rights of free worship, freedom of association, and countless other rights we hold sacrosanct. Citizens yearning for freedom were subjugated by the state through the use of coercion, violence, and fear.”
Buzzfeed reporter Blake Montgomery responded in a tweet that Trump's comment was a “white nationalist talking point.” He since deleted the comment, but again, the internet never forgets.
He went on to apologize, though one does wonder if he was only doing it because of pressure put on him or if he was truly sorry.
I cover white nationalists, and they use that language a lot, which is why I made that very dumb mistake. 2/2
