Budget Will Add $10 Trillion in New Debt & You Can’t Blame This on Obama

Barack Hussein Obama Soetoro Sobarkah authorized $1 trillion in deficit spending each of the years he has been in office, all with the approval of both a Democrat and Republican-led Congress. Now, Congress is about to pass a budget that will add $10 trillion in new debt!

However, at least one Republican senator is standing against the budget. In fact, he’s actually saying his colleagues are acting like Democrats!

“The more things change, the more they seem to stay the same,” said Kentucky Senator Rand Paul before the US Senate. “Republicans won the White House. Republicans control the Senate. Republicans control the House. And what will the first order of business be for the new Republican majority? To pass a budget that never balances. To pass a budget that will add $9.7 trillion of new debt over ten years.”

“Is that really what we campaigned on?” asked Paul rhetorically. “Is that really what the Republican Party represents? Our first order of business will be a budget that never balances. A budget that adds $9.7 trillion to the debt…”

He went on to chide the GOP saying, “Republicans say they are the conservative party. Are we? When George W. Bush was president for eight years, the national debt went from $5 trillion to $10 trillion. The debt doubled under a Republican president and a partially Republican Congress. And yet the words were, Well, he had Democrats to deal with, and if we could ever take all three branches of government, things would be different’.”

“The Republicans took over the House in 2010,” he continued. “They still didn’t control the Senate, but they said, “If we only controlled the Senate, we can be the conservative party again.” We’ve had an election. The conservative party, the supposedly conservative party, won. Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the presidency, and the first item of business for the Republicans will be to pass a budget that never balances, a budget that will add $9.7 trillion to the debt over ten years.”

Paul continued by presenting how Congress should be dealing with spending. Instead of following the path of socialism, which is nothing more than legalized theft, Paul has called for constitutional spending.

He has tried to also point out the problems of military spending versus defense spending, dealt with his colleagues on interventionism and spoken against our current foreign policy and giving financial aid to our enemies.

However, this betrayal by those in the GOP concerning spending our money is nothing new. Even under the legacy of Ronald Reagan, the national debt tripled from $900 billion to $2.7 billion!

The main problem is that those who swear to uphold the Constitution, simply will not do it. Congress, for the most part, does not adhere to constitutional spending nor constitutional authority for the legislation they write. Additionally, the Executive does not understand the boundaries of the Constitution for either Congress, the federal courts or the Executive Branch. This all works together in a corrupt fashion to indebt us more and more regardless of what party is in charge.

There are no more excuses. Republicans control it all. Whatever happens from here on out will be on the GOP, not Democrats. Let’s see if they will come to their senses. I’m not holding my breath.
