It appears that whether Congress acts or not on the eight pieces of gun control legislation or the soon to be introduced Feinstein weapons ban bill, that Barack Obama is going to get some form of gun control, even if it means an executive order. No that is not conspiracy theory. It is conspiracy fact, right from his own vice president's mouth and he said "The president is going to act. There are executive orders, executive action that can be taken."
So what will those executive actions be? Inquiring minds of Patriots and citizens of America want to know, seeing as that any and all executive orders that seek to implement law are clearly unconstitutional. Only the Congress is allowed to legislate.
On Wednesday Vice President Joe Biden began one of several meetings to take place this week as his task force begins to look for "solutions" to stopping mass shootings. "We're here today to deal with a problem that requires immediate action, urgent action," Biden said. He was surrounded by several gun control groups, as well as, several victims of gun violence.
"The president is going to act. There are executive orders, executive action that can be taken. We haven't decided what that is yet, but we're compiling it all ... as well as legislative action, we believe, is required," he said.
Biden said, "There is a pretty wide consensus on three or four or five things in the gun safety area that could and should be done."
Biden was emphatic that doing nothing was not an option and stressed that the White House would act. "I want to make it clear that we are not going to get caught up in the notion unless we can do everything, we're going to do nothing," he said.
He is scheduled to meet with the National Rifle Association on Thursday. I have addressed the NRA's stance on putting armed policemen in schools and William F. Jasper has addressed it in an excellent article that I highly recommend. It is a bad idea, a very bad idea and it is one I hope the NRA will reconsider and instead, begin to simply stress the fact that all Americans are supposed to be protected to both keep and bear their arms, including inside of schools and government buildings.
This is not a time to be willy nilly. It's a time to speak out about what the Second Amendment is all about and it's not about hunting, sports shooting or armed policemen. It's about armed citizens!Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook, Google Plus, & Twitter. You can also get Freedom Outpost delivered to your Amazon Kindle device here.
