El Paso native and 2020 presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke has long been loose with his words, but his latest profane rant is turning heads within the establishment media.
O’Rourke’s disdain for President Trump has been boiling over on the campaign trail, and growing ever-more sensational as the Texan continues to slowly slip in the polls. The hope here is that a strong “resistance” rhetoric will garner some attention, allowing Beto an opportunity to right the ship. In order to do this, however, O’Rourke has been growing ever more verbose and profane, attempting to establish himself as the cussing candidate.
This sort of strong language was on full display this week as reporters lobbed a softball question his way.
When asked by a reporter if he thought there was anything Trump could say to heal the nation after the shootings, O’Rourke snapped back.
“What do you think? You know the s**t he’s been saying. He’s been calling Mexican immigrants rapists and criminals,” he replied. “I don’t know, like, members of the press, what the f**k?”
Then came some wild claims.
O’Rourke told the press to “connect the dots” about what Trump was doing as president of the United States.
“He’s not tolerating racism, he’s promoting racism. He’s not tolerating violence, he’s inciting racism and violence in this country,” he said.
O’Rourke is currently polling in 5th place nationally among declared democratic contenders for 2020, possessing approximately 3% of the vote as of this writing.
