I'll start with a quote by one of the most infamous Roman Emperors of all time; "I wish the Roman people had but a single neck"-Gaius Julius Caesar Germanicus (aka Caligula). He also said "I don't care that they hate me as long as they fear me." Caligula was known for his extreme extravagance, eccentricity, depravity and cruelty.
After the attack in Benghazi which left four Americans dead, Barack Obama Jr. said that chaos in the Middle East merely represents "bumps in the road" to democracy. Now that's a strange metaphor to use, especially after an Ambassador is killed. Hillary Clinton during a hearing about that night in Benghazi told Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson "We have four dead Americans... What difference does it make?" Another heartless quote, one that will follow her to the end of her days. And it will especially continue to pop-up at the worst moments, if you want to be president someday I'm sure.
"Let them eat cake" is the traditional translation of the French phrase "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche", supposedly by Marie Antoinette, upon learning that the peasants had no bread.
Michelle Obama said "The truth is someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more."
This from the woman, who has spent untold millions of taxpayer dollars on opulent and extravagant vacations all over the world, while 46 million Americans are on Food Stamps and over 11% of people are unemployed. The numbers of unemployed given to us by the government are just a li-ttle wrong, they do not reflect those that have dropped out of the work place.
When talking about negotiating with Republicans, Obama has said "We can't make extortion routine as a part of our democracy."
"Re-open the government, extend the debt ceiling," Obama said. What that means in plain English is "Do what I want, give me a blank check and maybe we'll talk."
Barack Obama has also said "You should reject voices that warn of tyranny."
Here's my favorite quote from Obama when he was a Senator:
"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can't pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that 'the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America's debt limit."
Are you with me so far folks? Do any of you see any parallels here? President Obama has increased our national debt to almost 17 trillion, that's trillion with a capital "T." He still has the stones to demand another blank check to spend as he sees fit. This is exactly why there is a separation of powers, this is exactly why the framer's of our constitution gave the "power of the purse' to the Congress. This entire shut-down is not just about Obamacare or racism, as those on the left are touting. They are saying so, because there is no justification possible to allow a demagogue to spend us into oblivion and ruin. So idiots from MSNBC and other left-wing outfits are in a corner and are using their 'trump-card", their tried and true battle cry of "racist", to attempt to shame Congress. Only this time, "that dog won't hunt"! It's time for the president to actually do his job, it's time for him to act like a reasonable person.
But seriously, do any of you expect Barack Hussein Obama Jr., given his record to do this? After watching the Veteran's this weekend, take the barricades that were in front of our national monuments and pile them in front of the White House, I'll venture to say that America has finally had enough.
Yes, Barack Hussein Obama Jr. will have a place in history...just not the one he wants.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook, Google Plus, & Twitter. You can also get Freedom Outpost delivered to your Amazon Kindle device here.
