Just as the main stream media does with everything else of importance, they have blacked out one of the most terrifying events in our nation's history: Barack Obama's appointment of the first ever assassination czar, John Brennan.
Brennan, Obama's chief counterterrorism advisor, was appointed in virtual silence.
Boston.com carried the AP story claiming,
The effort concentrates power over the use of lethal U.S. force outside war zones within one small team at the White House.
The process, which is about a month old, means Brennan's staff consults with the State Department and other agencies as to who should go on the target list, making the Pentagon's role less relevant, according to two current and three former U.S. officials aware of the evolution in how the government goes after terrorists.
The Atlantic published an article that revealed the new assassination czar has a questionable past. Yet, this is the man now that Barack Obama has placed in charge of assassinations.
What is amazing is that even Russia Today criticized the state sponsored media for failing to cover the story and bring the appointment to light.
The ACLU has filed a Freedom of Information request to gain information on the assassination program. The government denied the request on the ground of "top-secret."
Subsequently, the ACLU filed lawsuits against the federal government stating that the government could not deny the existence of the program and at the same time discuss some of the details of the program with members of the press.
Alexander Higgins at the Examiner writes,
The latest details of the program reveal that under the Obama's new plan, Brennan’s staff compiles the potential target list and runs the names past agencies such as the State Department at a weekly White House meeting.
After gathering responses from other agencies and debating it with his staff, Brennan has the sole authority to target people for assassination.
Who would have thought twenty years ago that Americans would have stood for such a thing! The question is, are we going to stand for it today?Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook, Google Plus, & Twitter. You can also get Freedom Outpost delivered to your Amazon Kindle device here.
