As things have been heating up in the Middle East, it has not swayed Barack Obama from his campaigning one bit. Immediately after the attacks on the consulate on September 11, Obama immediately headed off to Las Vegas for a campaign. Now former GOP presidential contender Michele Bachmann has called on him to deal with a real matter and that is to speak with the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Bachmann called out Obama at the Values Voter Summit last week in Washington, D.C.:
“And President Obama needs to get his priorities straight. What he needs to do is cancel his planned interview with David Letterman, cancel his meeting with Beyonce, cancel his meeting with Jay Z, and instead agree to meet with the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, because you see, America and Israel have a commonality of interests,” Bachmann said.
Obama announced last week that he would be on the Late Show with David Letterman while in New York this wee while in New York. He will also be attending a fundraiser held by singer Beyonce and rapper Jay-Z.
This is what happens when America elects a hip-hop president rather than a grown up with wisdom.
