AOC Says She’s Open To Getting Rid Of Entire DHS

In an interview, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says she’s open to getting rid of entire DHS.

Ocasio-Cortez revealed that she wants to get rid of the Department of Homeland Security in an interview with the New Yorker’s David Remnick, arguing that DHS should never have been created in the first place.

Alexandria is not old enough to remember. To remember the twin towers falling, people leaping to their deaths rather than burn in their offices. The Pentagon burning. The brave men and women who died trying to stop the plane in PA. We started that Dept to help prevent it all from ever happening again.

Fox News:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., last week suggested she was open to getting rid of the Department of Homeland Security in order to undo “a lot of the egregious mistakes that the Bush administration did.”

Ocasio-Cortez made her remarks during a Friday appearance on the New Yorker Radio with host David Remnick.

“ICE is not under the (Department of Justice),” Ocasio-Cortez says. “It’s under the Department of Homeland Security. And so we have now—”

“Would you get rid of the Department of Homeland Security, too?” Remnick asks.

“I think so,” she says. “I think we need to undo a lot of the egregious, umm, a lot of the egregious mistakes that the Bush administration did.”

She added: “I feel like we are, at a very, it’s a very qualified and supported position, at least in terms of evidence, and in terms of being able to make the argument that we never should of created DHS in the early 2000s.” More

A year ago she was waiting tables and now she’s a national security expert? Yeah, and my 2-yr-old son can drive a bus too.

Now stop and imagine breaking into another country and their detention centers weren’t up to your standards! You couldn’t make this stuff up!

It’s a detention center AOC, for people who sneak into the country illegally. Go illegally sneak into North Korea, Iran, or Russia and see what happens to you.
