ANTIFA Mobilized for Virginia Gun Rally, as State of Emergency Declared

The radical left certainly wouldn’t want to miss an opportunity to stir the pot, now would they?

The Commonwealth of Virginia is in the midst of a strange and stunning political moment.  A Democratic majority in the state house has taken aim at the Second Amendment in a manner unprecedented in modern day, and the left-leaning governor, Ralph Northam, seems hellbent on infringing upon the rights of Old Dominion’s gun owners in a big way.

Fear of a mass, door-to-door gun confiscation have been on the rise, and this has prompted several pro-2A groups to plan a large rally to be held at the Virginia Capitol on Monday.  The Governor has already declared a state of emergency for the event, citing an uncovered plot to violently storm the Capitol itself.  Under this declaration, weapons of any kind will be barred from the site as well, drawing further ire from the groups organizing the rally.

Oddly, it appears as though Antifa wants part of the action as well.

In what Vice called a “bizarre meeting of the minds,” Richmond-based Antifa Seven Hills also strongly opposes the gun measures now likely to become law since Democrats won control of both Virginia houses last year, and they too want Democratic leaders in Richmond to know.

“I think it’s been pretty important for us to focus on the fact that gun control in America has a legacy of racist enforcement,” an Antifa Seven Hills spokesperson called James, a self-identified anarchist who withheld his real name for fear of getting doxxed, told Vice. “Like taking guns away from black people, because black people were perceived as a threat to property and the sanctity of the state.”

“This is our fight as much as anyone else’s,” James continued. “It’s our state, and we are left largely out of the debate. The presence of an armed left is not discussed, it’s not understood.”

We can only hope that the two groups stick to the topic at hand, and don’t end up straying into some of the other cultural and political issues in which they could very likely disagree vehemently.
