A Court Commissioner has ordered an ANTIFA leader to pay a former leader of UC-Berkeley College Republicans $11,100 in legal fees associated with a restraining order that was issued in September 2017.

Yvette Felarca, a teacher at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School and organizer with the group BAMN (By Any Means Necessary), was ordered by Alameda County Court Commissioner Thomas Rasch to pay Troy Worden $11,100 in legal fees.

Felarca and her group of ANTIFA fascists filed a temporary restraining order against Worden as they protested people like Milo Yiannopoulos and Ann Coulter, who had been invited to speak on campus in 2017.

She claimed that Worden followed her around the campus in February 2017.

“He asked me if he could take a selfie with me, which I agreed to. Right after taking the picture, as I stepped away from him, he suddenly reached out his hand to try (to) touch my face. He had a hard, chilling, menacing expression,” Felarca said in the filing.

Though the restraining order was granted by a judge initially in September and later amended, in October, an Alameda County Superior Court judge dismissed the restraining order.

Worden then filed his own lawsuit seeking $100,000.  The result is the order that Felarca must pay Worden over $11,000.

“By ruling that she did not demonstrate good faith in filing the restraining order, the court recognized the frivolous nature of Felarca’s actions,” said Worden’s attorney, Mark Meuser. “The award of attorney fees should send a strong signal that she cannot abuse the court system to silence speech.”

Angela Ruggiero points out that Ms. Felarca is not the most upstanding citizen either.

"Felarca, gained notoriety after she was filmed hitting a man during a June 26, 2016 melee in Sacramento, where she was part of a counter-demonstration against a rally by the Traditionalist Worker Party, a white supremacist group," Ruggiero reported.  "She was charged by the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office with inciting and participating in a riot and assault likely to cause great bodily injury."

Campus Reform adds:

Harmeet Dhillon of the Dhillon Law Group, through which Meuser is representing Worden, said  that Felarca has a history of “filing and dismissing utterly frivolous cases against innocent targets” and pledged to hold her and her lawyers “accountable.”

“Felarca and her fellow travelers in BAMN [By Any Means Necessary]/Antifa need to learn that the California courts are not their personal plaything to use and abuse at will by filing baseless and vexatious lawsuits,” she added, with Worden noting that the restraining order prevented him from exercising his free-speech rights on campus.

...

Additionally, the press release notes that Felarca, whom it identifies as a Berkeley Middle School teacher, was arrested twice in 2017 for incitement of a riot, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer, arguing that the restraining order was an attempt to further stifle Worden’s First Amendment rights after the College Republicans invited several controversial speakers to campus.

“This marks the second time in two months that Felarca and her lawyers have been ordered by an area court to pay the attorney fees of their opponents for filing legally and factually unsupported claims in court,” Dhillon commented. “True victims of harassment/stalking/assault need the courts to be available to them as a priority, not clogged with fabricated claims pursued in bad faith.”

Take a look at what a real fascist sounds like.
