Something strange is occurring in society today, where our Constitutional rights are being trampled by ne’er do wells with invented authority.
When it comes to the Second Amendment, things could not get much clearer. The Founding Fathers insisted that this inalienable, God-given right “shall not be infringed”, for the sake of keeping our nation free, forever.
You see, the common misconception is that there are millions of Americans out there utilizing the full extent of the Second Amendment every day. This simply isn’t true. Sure, they are exercising an auxiliary privilege of the right to bear arms, but the right itself is rooted in the idea that we shall not be beholden to any government or military force and, furthermore, should we find ourselves at the doorstep of tyranny, the Second Amendment is suddenly activated.

In all fairness, the right to bear arms doesn’t kick in, so to speak, until the feds come and kick in your door to take your guns away.
Still, we find today that any number of Americans will use whatever authority they have to infringe upon this right, or punish those who promote it…including, sadly, our nation’s school officials.
A Loveland, Colorado, junior was suspended from high school pending a police investigation after he went to a shooting range with his mother.
Complete Colorado reports that 16-year-old Nathan Myers was reported anonymously by another student after positing alleged “threatening” material to Snapchat. The alleged “threatening” material was a video of guns Nathan and his mother Justine posted before heading out to the range.
The suspension raises suspicions regarding “red flag” laws and other such subjective safeguards being used to usurp Americans’ constitutional rights.
Bearing Arms reports that Loveland High School–the school suspending Nathan–is operating in line with a program called “Safe 2 Tell.” The program is designed to allow students an avenue to report possible threats.
This dangerous precedent, that fellow Americans can rat each other out to the government to have their guns confiscated, is precisely the sort of situation that the British government would have utilized in the 1770’s, if given the chance.
