Every December, Hollywood television shows go into "hiatus," and filming stops until the start of the New Year. Isn't it quite coincidental that Phil Robertson's suspension ends just in time for the start of the new season of Duck Dynasty? A&E has made a fortune over the suspension of Phil Robertson with playing back to back episodes of Duck Dynasty almost non-stop since this little drama began, and the sales of Duck Dynasty merchandise have produced record profits for the network...Merry Christmas - KA-Ching!
Who says that this entire sorted little drama didn't have a happy ending? President Obama is happy because he's not the focus of attention during the holidays and his "Lie of the year" has taken a backseat to this "Duck Drama," GLADD is happy that Phil got suspended, A&E is happy that they made so much money, the Robertson family is happy that they got their patriarch back and finally- America is happy because it's number one show won't miss an episode. This was some great Hollywood style drama folks!
But here's the onion - You got played America!
Maybe I'm jaded, but back in the 1980s I worked in Hollywood, and I know what kind of people they really are. They always cave-in to homosexuals, that is unless, of course, hundreds of millions (if not billions) of dollars are at stake. Hollywood has been a willing accomplice in promoting the homosexual agenda for decades, helping convince you that LGBTs are just like you and me, and that their lifestyle is no different than yours or mine. They've made countless amounts of money and received several Academy Awards on films like "Milk," where the main character is a nice mild-mannered homosexual (In real life Harvey Milk was not a very nice man). No, you can't buy the kind of publicity that A&E has received from all of this, not to mention, that if you didn't know about Duck Dynasty before all of this, you sure do know now!
According to Fox News:
The A&E Network announced Friday it would resume filming "Duck Dynasty" with Phil Robertson and the rest of his family next spring in a reversal of its decision last week to suspend him for comments he made about homosexuality. In an exclusive statement to FoxNews.com, the family said it was "excited to keep making a quality TV show for our dedicated fans, who have showed us wonderful support. We will continue to represent our faith and values in the most positive way through 'Duck Dynasty' and our many projects that we are currently working on." The outpouring of support and prayer has encouraged and emboldened us greatly." Robertson had been indefinitely suspended by the network on Dec.18 for remarks he made in an interview with GQ Magazine.
Let's get real for a moment folks. A&E knew about Phil's interview with GQ magazine before it hit the stands, because when you have the "duck that lays the golden egg," you keep a close watch on what it does at all times. And it's quite "convenient" that hiatus will end and filming will start right on schedule in January. Now, I don't think the Robertson family was in on this. In fact, I'm sure of it. However, I think the folks at A&E owe all of us an apology for this little show. It all could have been avoided from the very start. They knew what kind of people the Robertson clan were when they hired them. For A&E to not cave-in to homosexual activists....you know the profits must be huge for them to say "up yours" to their homosexual buddies.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook, Google Plus, & Twitter.
