I could hardly contain myself as I watched Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) speak to the press after the House Intelligence Committee voted to release the FISA memo and voted against the immediate release of the Democrat’s minority memo. Although Schiff maintained a measured demeanor throughout his remarks, his unrighteous indignation was quite clear.
Schiff: “Today this committee voted to put the president’s personal interests, perhaps their own political interests, above the national interests,” the Democrat said about the vote to release the Republican memo and not the Democratic memo.”
Adam Schiff, are you kidding me? Let’s go back to the video.
Did not the entire investigation originate from the left’s insistence on placing Hillary Clinton’s and the Democrat’s political interests above national interests? Hillary’s campaign and the DNC, which she essentially controlled, paid for the research upon which the largely fictitious hit piece widely known as the Trump dossier was based.
The dossier states:
“Vladimir Putin’s Russia has been “cultivating, supporting and assisting Trump for at least five years”. Moscow’s aim is “to encourage splits and divisions in the western alliance” and to upend the “ideals-based international order” set up after the second world war. Putin’s preference, according to the report, is for a return to the “Great Power” politics of the 19th century, where big states pursue their own interests.”
The dossier says that Trump was offered “various sweetener business deals” by the Kremlin, but turned them down. The Kremlin also supplied Trump with “a regular flow of intelligence”, including on the Democrats and other political rivals.”
Evidence points to the use of this dossier as the basis for obtaining a FISA warrant against the Trump campaign. The ensuing Trump/Russia collusion investigation has hung like a black cloud over the Trump administration. If reasonable cause exists to believe that corruption occurring at the highest levels of the DOJ and the FBI played a role in initiating this very consequential investigation, the American people deserve to know.
“I think we have crossed a deeply regrettable line in this committee,” Schiff said about House Intelligence. “For the first time in the ten years I have been on the committee, there was a vote to politicize the declassification process of intelligence.”
In the timeless words of Hamlet’s mother, “the Congressman doth protest too much, methinks.”
On the contrary, conservatives believe that officials inside the FBI “crossed a deeply regrettable line” by allegedly using the unverified, and perhaps unverifiable, Trump dossier as the basis to obtain a warrant to spy on Trump’s campaign.
Highly partisan members of Congress and the mainstream media continue to cross that line on a daily basis because of their fanatical hatred of Trump.
Rep. Will Hurd (R-Texas), a member of the House intelligence committee and a former CIA officer, said he was not concerned about a Justice Department warning that releasing the memo without DOJ review could jeopardize national security.
“I spent most of my adult life protecting sources and methods. I’m going to continue doing that,” he said.
Schiff continued spinning and spinning for fifteen minutes maintaining the outward calm that belied his inner fury.
I could barely stand to watch it.
What is it about this report that has Democrats in such a state of turmoil? All we can do, at this point, is wait for Trump to approve the release of the memo.
Although he has five days to do so, reports say it may come sooner.
Hopefully, it will provide some answers and maybe even agitate Adam Schiff a little more!Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook and Twitter, and follow our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
