What the American people deserve from their elected officials is, at the very least, a sense of thoroughness and efficiency. After all, we are paying these public servants an exorbitant amount of money to complete the tasks that we demand.
But, alas, this is not the case. Instead, the American people have somehow become subject to the political servants themselves. We ask for healthcare reform, we get impeachment. We ask for a border wall, we get months of Capitol Hill hullabaloo about it…without result.
And now, as we look to get to the very bottom of the Democratically-instigated UkraineGate conspiracy theory, we get stonewalled by House Intel Committee Chairman Adam Schiff.
“This inquiry is not, and will not serve, however, as a vehicle to undertake the same sham investigations into the Bidens or 2016 that the President pressed Ukraine to conduct for his personal political benefit, or to facilitate the President’s effort to threaten, intimidate, and retaliate against the whistleblower who courageously raised the initial alarm,” he said.
Nunes’ letter included a list of witness House Republicans want testify at next week’s inaugural open impeachment hearings, including the younger Biden, his long time business partner Devon Archer and Alexandra Chalupa, a former Democratic National Committee staffer who worked with the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington, DC.
The reticence to investigate the Biden connection to Ukraine could be seen as a dereliction of duties by the democrats, who are handcuffing the nation to an investigation only fitting to the impeachment narrative.
Of course, if there was corruption in Ukraine directly related to the Biden’s, President Trump’s allegedly troubling phone call with President Volodymyr Zelensky begins to look far less troublesome…which is a reality that the liberal left cannot allow in their current trajectory.
