Somehow by now, we all know that this was coming. Why? Because this administration, under the direction of Barack Hussein Obama’s mama, Valerie Jarrett, let us know that they would be taking the gloves off and here it comes just in time to ramp up more support for gun confiscation in the wake of the Charleston shooting. It’s being reported that an active shooter has allegedly shot a police officer in Chattanooga, Tennessee, which resulted in a lockdown at Chattanooga State Community College and Erlanger Hospital. Meanwhile, Jade Helm just took effect on Wednesday.
The Times Free Press reports:
A string of shootings is being reported across East Tennessee today.
A police officer has been shot at 6219 Lee Hwy. in Chattanooga. The shooting is at an army recruiting center. The officer was transported to Erlanger hospital.
A search is underway in the surrounding area. The local SWAT and five ambulances are responding at this time. Amnicola Highway is shut down at this time. Chattanooga State Community College is on lockdown. Six ambulances have arrived at the Erlanger emergency room. A statement is expected shortly. The Erlanger emergency department is on lockdown as well.
The 6219 Lee Hwy. shooting is an army recruiting center. Radio traffic indicates shots fired at other recruiting centers in Southeast Tennessee. Stan Clark, head of Bradley County EMS, confirms a report of shots fired at Bradley Square Mall. Emergency crews are on the way.
According to Mayor Andy Berke, “This is a very, very terrible situation. I’m very concerned about what’s going on. We need to figure out how to handle it.”
Berke did confirm that an officer “was down” and in the separate shooting incident paramedics had been working on a man who was shot in the leg.
FOX News adds:
Brian Lepley, a spokesman with the U.S. Army Recruiting Command out of Fort Knox, Kentucky, said the recruiting center on Old Lee Highway has recruiting services for all four branches of the military. The Army recruiters told Lepley they have evacuated and are safe. He has no information about recruiters for the other branches.
Law enforcement told his recruiters that the shooter was in a car, stopped in front of the recruiting facility, shot at the building and drove off.
A federal law enforcement official told Fox News that assets from FBI’s Knoxville field office are responding. The FBI has not immediately confirmed that a shooting occurred.
The Knoxville News Sentinel reported that there is a heavy police presence at the scene along with five ambulances.
Red Bank, Collegedale, Hamilton County and Chattanooga police departments have all converged on the scene.
Mark my words. Gun grabbing Communists, including the one in the White House, will be demanding harsher gun laws from the federal government, even though they are not authorized to write such laws. As far as I’m concerned, the two-minute warning has sounded and gun confiscation is the end zone for the Communists in America.
UPDATE: Four Marines were killed in the Gun Free Zone:
