While the House of Representatives sits poised to make Halloween of 2019 a historically infamous day in American history, not all Democrats are on board with their decision.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will today reside over a vote on an “impeachment resolution”, aimed at escalating the Democrats’ ongoing investigation into President Trump’s behavior and international business dealings, as well as give the probing committees allowances to go after the Commander in Chief’s personal businesses as well. This “resolution” comes on the heels of a “formal inquiry”, with both steps still falling short of introducing the articles of impeachment into the legislative chambers.
The move is controversial, and not only in the eyes of the impeachment-weary GOP.
Yang told CNN’s Don Lemon that he has “been on board with impeachment ever since it’s been put forward” but warned Democrats that they have to “face facts where you still are looking at a republican majority in the Senate and you need a super majority for impeachment to actually be successful.”
“So the odds are still very high that it is going to run aground in the Senate and it is going to end up being a very polarizing issue for many Americans,” Yang said.
Yang’s somewhat bold statement is perhaps genuine, but his low-polling, long shot status within the 2020 race does offer a different possibility for the controversial statement: He might just need attention.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook and Twitter, and follow our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
