I’m not sure if we have The X-Files to blame, or perhaps it’s more of a Ms. Cleo sort of thing, but the new age movement is making a major comeback in America these days.
Tarot readers, ghost hunters, whatever reiki is…these are the sort of ethereal tangents that many in the United States seem to be going off on lately. Maybe it’s the constant pressures of an increasingly turgid world, or, as some believe, we could be entering some sort of celestial awakening based on the epochs of the heavens.
Or, more likely, this is just a case of different strokes for different folks. In either case, 2020 democratic candidate Marianne Williamson is riding this wave of politicly bewilderment to a nuanced notoriety among her colleagues.
At last night’s debate, her spiritualistic tendencies were on full display.
“This is part of the dark underbelly of American society, the racism, the bigotry, and the entire conversation that we’re having here tonight. If you think any of this wonkiness is going to deal with this dark psychic force of the collectivized hatred that this president is bringing up in this country, then I’m afraid that the Democrats are going to see some very dark days,” she said in the second Democratic debate Tuesday night.
In case you were wondering, this spooky soliloquy came during a question regarding the water crisis in Flint, Michigan…just for reference.
Williamson’s wiles may seem wacky to some, but her chakra-invoking chicanery has had an effect on the 2020 race: The California democrat has been the most searched candidate via Google in the immediate aftermath of both of her debate performances.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook and Twitter, and follow our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
