"Experts" recently dismissed the idea that ISIS, the ruthless Iraqi/serious terror group will actually be able to form what they claim as their goal – a Caliphate.
The leader and would-be King, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (call him Bag-Daddy) is calling on all Muslims to come to the "Islamic state."
On the tape is also a proclamation that Bag-Daddy is the Caliph, the official "Head of the new Islamic state." Maybe he used an executive order to do that.
Pictures have been released of his troops riding triumphantly through streets in American Humvees, sporting American M4 rifles.
This past Sunday was the start of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month. Of this he said: "In this virtuous month or in any other month, there is no deed better than jihad in the path of Allah, so take advantage of this opportunity and walk the path of your righteous predecessors. So to arms, to arms, soldiers of the Islamic, fight, fight."
One truly disturbing photograph released by ISIS was a massive rocket, possibly a captured Soviet built SCUD missile. This should concern the Israelis, although "experts" say it's "almost certainly" inoperable and unlikely to pose a threat.
And where might these "experts" be? Are they safely tucked away at the United Nations or Europe or some think tank in America? Would they bet their lives on it? I rather doubt it.
Bag-Daddy is not just looking for fighters though. On the tape, he was heard also asking for those with special skills, such as doctors and engineers. Also he asked for those with administrative experience.
This doesn't appear to be just some run-of-the-mill terrorist. He is serious about his "Islamic state." He's also evidently not blind, as he can see the current "Iraqi" government is barely that – unable to choose a new Prime Minister; and Shiite and Sunni are no closer to presenting a unified front against the ISIS blitzkrieg.
It appears ISIS is taking full advantage of this fracturing and Bag-Daddy even has a five-year plan for his Caliphate. He has already divided up and renamed all the present countries in North Africa, the whole Middle East, and a large portion of Asia and Europe.
ISIS certainly has no plans to unite with the Shiite – they do however demand allegiance from them – to swear loyalty to Bag-Daddy.
A Bag-Daddy spokesman, Abu Mohammed al-Adnani proclaimed: "The legality of all emirates, groups, states and organizations becomes null by the expansion of the Caliph's authority and the arrival of its troops to their areas. Listen to your Caliph and obey him. Support your state, which grows every day."
Now I'm no foreign policy, Middle East, or Islam expert, but these guys seem a lot more serious and certainly more organized than was bin Laden and his band of "Holy Warriors."
He appears to have vision, a plan, men, material and organization. If this new "Islamic state" becomes a credible threat, were going to need more than our lily-livered president to deal with them.
