What are professing Christians who work for the State-run "education" system supposed to do?

How are they supposed to teach?

How are they to supposed to present truth?

How are they supposed to define and share knowledge?

What approach the pursuit of knowledge are they supposed to model for their students?

How are they commanded and equipped by God to honor Him and advance His Kingdom in the context of a State-run system of "education" built upon an approach to the pursuit of knowledge lifted directly from the serpent's tongue in Eden? (See: Redeeming Children's Education: Confronting Our Satanic Approach to the Pursuit of Knowledge.)

When addressing the vital realm of children's education from a biblical perspective and thereby coming to realize how far down the rat-hole of satanic thought we've gone, the subject of professing Christian adults operating in the system often comes up. Are they supposed to follow and teach the satanic model to the pursuit of knowledge instilled by the State, hoping that they might get to squeeze in some actual truth in the margins or off to the side? Are they supposed content themselves with modeling some generally good attributes (like "being nice" or even making vague references to God) while dismissing (and opposing in practice) the clear commands of Scripture as to the nature of truth, knowledge, and the pursuit of knowledge? These are very good questions to ask and very important things to consider...which is precisely why the anti-Christian State, it's "experts" and it's legions of thoroughly programmed defenders would very much prefer that we do anything but consider these things biblically.

As with many such good, obvious and important questions, even Christians in this culture tend to ask them in a half-hearted, semi-sincere manner, since we're not so sure we really want to actually go to Scripture in detail on this one.

Why?

Because we already know that the Word of God stands clearly in opposition to most of the foundational things we've been conditioned to hold dear on this subject as Americans, and we know that the perfect Light of Scripture is going to hurt at first...and a lot. This aversion to Truth where it's needed most is something that we're all susceptible to, so being honest from the get-go is vital if we're going to not only actively seek out but also apply the lovingly provided clarity of the Word of God on the life- and culture-shaping subject of children's education.

So it is that we need to consciously commit from the beginning of our consideration of this issue that we are going to pursue and submit to the will of God as it is made plain in His Word.

For that to happen we need His grace, and in great abundance, so we should always be praying and pleading to the Lord for His will as revealed in His Word to become more and more precious and beautiful to us, over and above all of the traditions and preferences and idols that we have (and sometimes still) hold dear.

With these things understood, let's return to the question...

What are professing Christians who work for the State-run "education" system supposed to do?

Obviously, there are substantial differences between the circumstances surrounding a child who has been sinfully surrendered to the State for daily immersion in an explicitly satanic approach to the pursuit of knowledge and those of an adult who is employed by the State-run "education" system in question.

An adult professing Christian is expected to know more about Jesus, who is the personification of all truth.

An adult professing Christian is expected to be more mature in the faith and more grounded in the Word.

An adult professing Christian is expected therefore to be more obedient in practice
to the Lord.

All of these distinctions between an unbelieving (or new-to-the-faith) child and a professing Christian adult bring us neatly to one great area of commonality under which we all live: We are all commanded to obey the Lord.

We are all commanded to submit to the lordship of Christ in every realm of His creation. (See: Matthew 28:18-20.)

This is the heart of the Gospel command to repent and believe. We are all commanded by Christ the King through His people's faithful proclamation of the command to repent (meaning acknowledge, own up to, and turn away from our sin) and believe (meaning submit to the lordship of Christ in practice in all that we do).

This is a universal command to all men, women, boys and girls everywhere.

This is true Christianity. (See: The Awesome Gospel.)

This is the Gospel that all Christians are commanded and equipped to faithfully proclaim and apply.

Whoever we are.

Wherever we are.

Even in State-run "schools" where we are told to ignore such commands...and threatened with "scary" consequences if we do not comply.

With these truths in mind, consider this: What if we had, for whatever reason, actual (obedient) Christians placed as teachers for even a moment in a State-run "school" consecrated to and built completely upon a satanic model of the pursuit of knowledge?

What if, by the grace of God, Christians had the opportunity to teach biblically?

What if, by the grace of God, Christians were given the chance for at least a moment to clearly present Christ as the essential Source, Sustainer, and Definer of all things...like art, literature, philosophy, economics, language, history, etc.?

What if, by God's grace, Christians were given a moment and the courage to seize it for Him in that way, trusting Him to perfectly handle the "consequences" of their obedience to Him?

What would that model to the students watching?

What would that tell them about truth, knowledge, courage, and living faith in action?

What. Would. That. Teach.

Isn't that what teachers are supposed to be doing?

Isn't that what they - what we - are all actually doing all the time?

You are not only responsible for what you say, but also for what you do not say. ~ Martin Luther

So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven. ~ Matthew 10:32-33

A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher. ~ Luke 6:40

Everyone is a teacher. Everyone is teaching those watching around them what they actually believe about reality, truth, and everything else by what they do, whether they realize it or not, whether they believe it or not, and weather they like it or not.

This is one of the fundamental truths that has been purposefully stamped out by the State in its drive to separate us from the Truth of Scripture and make us dependent upon pagan (and pagan-influenced) secular leaders, experts, and teachers.

Wouldn't it be nice if Christians would correct this profoundly damaging and enslaving approach to truth and reality?

Wouldn't it be grand if Christians would engage and confront the enemies of Truth through a Spirit of grace-fueled obedience rather than enabling and encouraging those very same enemies through faithless, apathetic compliance with the enemies of Christ? (See also: Why is the beast of Socialism eating our children? Ask your pastor.)

Wouldn't it be great if God would move His people to faithfully proclaim and apply - no matter the cost - the clarity of His Nature as revealed in His Word?

Even (and especially) in State-run "schools"?

Just think of what those stands - and the subsequent firings and persecutions - would do to glorify God, inspire His people, and purify His church.

So, what should Christians teaching in State-run "schools" do with their fleeting opportunity to stand for Christ and advance His Kingdom?

They should be clearly and unapologetically obedient to Him in all things, fully trusting in Him to perfectly handle the "consequences"...and fruits...of their obedience.

We can't promote Christ by modeling Satan.

That reality should drive the manner in which we strive to teach anything.
