Remember when Dorothy and Toto were on the Yellow Brick Road on their way to the Emerald City to find the Wizard who could help them get back to Kansas? The Wizard seemed so powerful and all-knowing until Todo ripped away the curtain revealing an ordinary man who actually did not know very much once his teleprompter was removed.

Along the way she finds three other companions who have slightly different needs. The Scarecrow needs a brain; the Lion needs courage; and the Tin Man needs a heart. These are my friends and neighbors, maybe yours too. They have listened to the lies told to them by the power brokers in the Democrat party.

The domestic lie from the Wizard of O is that the general population is incapable by themselves of getting a job, saving for retirement, buying contraceptives, paying for college, educating preschoolers, or achieving anything in life on their own without a government handout. The Wizard of O wants us to think a government handout is a good thing. Our deceitful Wizard won’t tell his subjects that a government handout actually means government control. That is what is to be feared.

George Washington said that government is to be feared because “it is force. And like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearsome master." Ironically, the Scarecrow, Lion, and Tin Man did not need a handout because they actually had all they needed within themselves to achieve their potential. Sound eerily familiar yet? Bill Bennett notes that was the entire message of “The Life of Julia,” “to create a nanny state that takes care of its people from cradle to grave.”

Like any dictator, the Wizard in the Emerald City created a false paradigm that was devoid of truth. Toto pulled back the curtain and the Wizard stopped the lying because the paradigm changed in the Emerald City. The lies that our Wizard of O utters are actually what he believes and therefore this paradigm is unchangeable even when presented with the truth.

For an in depth look at this paradigm I highly recommend the movie 2016 by Dinesh D'Souza. D’Souza painstakingly traces the radical roots that have shaped O’s desired political narrative. We are beginning to understand what the Wizard of O meant when he said “We are going to fundamentally change America.”

O’s desired political narrative in the international arena as shown in D'Souza’s movie 2016 is that imperialistic and powerful America must be cut down so that our evil capitalistic system can no longer exploit the peaceful and good, developing nations. Once America has been dethroned and becomes an equal among many, no Muslim terrorist would ever launch an attack on the peace loving country of the One who promised to lower sea levels, heal the sick and heal Mother Earth by ridding the world of evil oil dependence. The reason the President came out and blamed a movie for the murder of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya, even though it was a preplanned terrorist attack, is because the truth, once again, did not fit his desired political narrative.

The US Constitution demands the President of the United States defend the laws of this great nation. His oath of office that he swears to fulfill says: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

The danger to freedom in our Great Republic is that this President has already proven he will circumvent the law whenever the law does not support the desired political narrative. Consider some of the ways the Wizard of O has tried to ignore the law:

The Wizard of O will use any means to change America once and for all. As destiny marches toward November 6 we have already seen the Justice Department successfully sue states for putting in dastardly programs like having to show up to vote with a picture ID or putting reasonable limits on early voting in Ohio. Remember, this is the same Democrat party that chose to limit the counting of military ballots in the 2000 election.

Now we find out that Twitter is buzzing with threats against Mitt Romney for wanting to reduce food stamps handouts and a threat of race riots if the Wizard of O is defeated. Dr. Thomas Sowell, of the Hoover Institution, in August of this year, has also given us the same eerie warning. It looks like the Left in our Republic is taking a cue from the anarchists in Europe in reaction to the austerity measures and licking their chops to do the same here if the Wizard of O is defeated.

Will He stay or Will He Go? The Wizard of O may have changed America forever. If the Wizard has changed America then why should he go even if he is defeated on November 6th? Who knows how he might try to create havoc both legally and illegally. Remember this important Democrat party value: the end always justifies the means. That is how things are done in Chicago. Anybody seen Toto lately?
