It is funny that the Left and those left of center always claim that Christians have a double standard. We are hypocrites and expect special treatment. They say we are too sensitive when we get offended. When an idiot placed a crucifix in a cup of his urine and called it "art," the left laughed at our anger. But when someone attempts to have a drawing contest, Muslims are justified in attempting to kill everyone present.
And there is no better example than CNN's treatment of Pamela Geller.
CNN's attacks on Geller all day Monday can be summed up in just a few words: "The Bitch was begging for it."
By now, most of us are aware of the events Sunday night in Garland Texas. We know that Geller was targeted for execution because she hosted something that others did not like. So, instead of ridiculing the Muslims as backwards and out of touch, as were many Christians in the past, they attack the victim. And this is exactly the point I was seeking to make in my article yesterday. The persecution is and will continue to be justified.
CNN's fury against Geller started first thing morning at the hands of "New Day" co-anchor Alisyn Camerota. . . . attacking the activist as a bigot who is unnecessarily provocative. Camerota's victim-blaming was disgraceful. . .
Then, wave after wave of hosts and guest seek to tear down Pam as if she wanted the gunmen to show up and kill people.
Not once did Costello challenge her guests or demand specifics. Maybe she was too busy reliving the glory days of the assault on Bristol Palin.
The baton was then passed to CNN anchor Ashleigh Banfield, who dug up yet-another hater from the SPLC to repeat the same ad hominem against Geller. Not once did Banfield challenge her guest or demand specifics.
And why the angst?
The victim-blamers at CNN are furious at Geller. First off, she's an outspoken conservative. Secondly, this terror attack against her stepped all over CNN's desire to re-ignite the riots in Baltimore. Now CNN has to change the topic to stories anathema to CNN's Leftist/anarchists: Muslim as terrorists; heroic cops (in Texas, no less), and a conservative survivor/victim.
But more than this, the issue is that these liberal nuts are comfortable making the victim into the villain. It is the only way that evil will pass, even in a reprobate society. People hate the face of evil, so the devil disguises himself as an angel of light. The wicked attack those who wish to reveal what they are and then place the blame on the victim.
Praise God someone finally spoke up in the mainstream media!
The Christian Post reports:
Fox News host Megyn Kelly blasted her colleague Bill O'Reilly Tuesday night for insisting that Pamela Geller was wrong to hold a free speech event critical of Islam, specifically radical factions within the faith, where people were encouraged to submit depictions of Muhammad, which some Muslims consider to be insulting and blasphemous.
Kelly, however, retaliated and stated that Geller had the right to organize and hold the event under the protection of the First Amendment.
Megyn was right, but there is one more thought I want to leave you with. If Geller had chosen not to hold the event, what then? What if we all stopped saying what we think or promoting what we believe is right? What if the only reason we stop is because we might offend others, and they might attack us? Can we really say we are a free society? Have the terrorists not won at that point? Just a thought.Facebook, Google Plus, & Twitter.
