What does "We the People" religion look like in action?
Where does a "We the People"-centered worldview lead in practice?
Well, if you live in America, all you need to do is have a look around.
The "We the People" worldview inherently, inevitably and quite proudly leads to everything from the "freedom" to murder tens of millions of our own babies for convenience to the "liberty" to "marry" whomever we please. (See: Note to 'Merica: There is no "God-given right" to murder children. Repent accordingly.) It's all about us. It's all about "We the People"…a people who will not have Christ to rule over us.
The derivative horrors of mass child sacrifice and sodomite "marriage" are born of our cherished "right" to freely and openly worship any god that we like. That's what we (blasphemously) call a "God-given right" here in 'Merica, and by treating God's Nature and Word as optional we have set ourselves up for the cultural implosion that is now upon us and the much worse that is to come. (See: Note to 'Merica: There is no "God-given right" to worship false gods. Repent accordingly.)
That's where "We the People"-centered living leads.
That's where "We the People" as god in practice gets a culture. (See: Confronting Americult.)
Today's shimmering example of American Religion in action comes by way of a well-known purveyor of a false go$pel that plays particularly well in America, where success is measured first and most by how much $$$ you have accumulated. In an article entitled T.D. Jakes Comes Out for 'Gay Rights' and 'LGBT Churches,' Says Position is 'Evolving', Christian News Network reported that:
Megachurch leader and author T.D. Jakes says that homosexuals should attend congregations that affirm their lifestyle and that politics do not need to reflect biblical ethics, adding that his position on homosexuality is both "evolved and evolving."
During an interview with the Huffington Post on Monday, Jakes was asked by a viewer if he believes that homosexuals and the black church can co-exist.
"Absolutely… I think it is going to be diverse from church to church. Every church has a different opinion on the issue and every gay person is different," he replied. "And I think that to speak that the church—the black church, the white church or any kind of church you wanna call it—are all the same, is totally not true."
Jakes said that he thinks homosexuals should find congregations that affirm their lifestyle.
"LGBT's of different types and sorts have to find a place of worship that reflects what your views are and what you believe like anyone else," he outlined.
"The church should have the right to have its own convictions and values; if you don't like those convictions and values [and] you totally disagree with it, don't try to change my house, move into your own … and find somebody who gets what you get about faith," Jakes added.
He said that the issue of homosexuality is "complex."
Then we got this clarifying – and quite damning (in a proud, All-American kinda way) – little gem:
"Once you begin to understand that democracy—that a republic actually—is designed to be an overarching system to protect our unique nuances, then we no longer look for public policy to reflect biblical ethics," Jakes explained. (Emphasis added.)
We no longer look for public policy to reflect biblical values.
When the State becomes god in practice, all other gods naturally become submissive under the god of the State, which rules over all people and their lesser gods. This is our assured path to tyranny under men. Those who will not have the Nature of God as revealed in His Word to rule over them will instead live under the tyranny of godless men who imagine themselves to be gods. These wannabe gods will redefine and re-redefine everything from law, liberty, family, marriage and even life itself again and again as they march the masses ever-deeper into the Orwellian hell of anti-Christian Statism.
You know, like here in America.
Which is precisely why we must now repent and submit to Christ as King in practice…though something tells me that Jakes (and most American "Christians" along with their favored "leaders" and "experts") would intend for his statement to encourage us in precisely the opposite direction.
You either believe that Christ is King here and now…or you do not.
. . . Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth
has been given to me." ~ Jesus (the real One), in Matthew 28:18 (emphasis added)
You either believe in the Gospel-fueled Great Commission as actually applying to everyone and everything right here and now…or you do not.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you." ~ Jesus (the real One), in Matthew 28:19-20 (emphasis added)
You either believe that Christ has commanded and equipped His people to take every thought – every political, governmental, economic, artistic and legal thought – captive to Him right here and now…or you do not.
We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take
every thought captive to obey Christ . . . ~ 2 Corinthians 10:5 (emphasis added)
It is becoming more and more painfully clear that here in America even the vast majority of professing Christians loudly and proudly fall into the "do not" camp.
They, like TD Jakes, will not have Christ to rule over them.
Not here in the "land of the free" and the home of the NSA.
Not here where "We the People" make the rules. (See: Who owns America? (Hint: Not "We the People."))
So enjoy, 'Merica.
Enjoy what "We the People" will always get when we refuse to bend the knee and surrender our pride at the feet of Christ the King.
Enjoy your "right" to have witches lead your "law makers" in "prayer." (See: Religious "Freedom" Update: Witch leads American heartland "lawmakers" in "prayer.")
Enjoy your ongoing "right" to mass child sacrifice. (See: 51,000,003 reasons why America owes Nazi Germany an apology.)
Enjoy your "right" to "gay marriages" (and whatever is about to come after that). (See: "Supreme Court" Votes for Wrath of God Upon America.)
Enjoy the fruits of your arrogant, Christ-dismissing "freedom."
Enjoy the results of your prideful, Christ-mocking "liberty."
Enjoy your tyranny-enabling Christ-less "law." (See: Presuppositional Law: Where we begin with law determines where we end.)
Or better yet – much better…infinitely better… – repent and submit to Christ as King now, while there is yet time.
Submit to Him and find true life-empowering law, art, economics, and everything else. (See: What does Jesus bring to politics, education, law, and economics?)
I know, I know…that's not "the American way."
That's not "how we do things" here in "the land of the free" and the home of the NSA.
On this the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, TD Jakes, Madonna, and pretty much every Pagan Right or Pagan Left "leader" and "expert" agree.
Which is precisely why we are dying in such dramatic, history-making fashion.
Repentance and submission to Christ as King is not the best of many viable options.
It's the one and only viable option.
It is all that we have, because Christ is all that there is.
He owns everything in His creation and it will all serve to glorify Him perfectly, one way or another.
We will either serve as a dramatic example of where "We the People" worship ultimately leads (death) or we will serve as an even more dramatic example of His grace through mass repentance and life-saving submission to Him even as we approach the edge of oblivion.
So which will it be, America?
Choose this day Whom you will serve…
Will it be "We the People" to whom you pledge your highest allegiance, as TD Jakes and other "experts" and "leaders" from the Pagan Right and Pagan Left would have you do, or will your defining commitment center on Christ as King in practice in every realm of life here and now? (See: How's that Pagan "conservatism" workin' out for ya, Christian?)
May God bless America with broken humiliation and groveling repentance…while there is yet time.Facebook, Google Plus, & Twitter. You can also get Freedom Outpost delivered to your Amazon Kindle device here.
