Ever wonder what a "Mark of the Beast" style economic system would look like in real world practice?
Well, if the "leaders" we've allowed to design and direct the current global anti-Christian economic engine get their way, we'll soon find out.
As reported in The Telegraph in How to end boom and bust: make cash illegal, we're treated to the following tidbits of insightful info pertaining to how self-appointed elites view you and your future under them:
Forcing everyone to spend only by electronic means from an account held at a government-run bank would give the authorities far better tools to deal with recessions and economic booms, writes Jim Leaviss. (emphasis added)
Obviously, this is not huge breaking news. It is rather old news. Still, seeing things like this published so openly and so clearly is telling. The story continues:
Having everyone's account at a single, central institution allows the authorities to either encourage or discourage people to spend. To boost spending, the bank imposes a negative interest rate on the money in everyone's account – in effect, a tax on saving. (emphasis added)
So who are "the authorities" in question? Why, those atop the current fiat currency economic system, of course - the people who have been allowed the power to craft things like dollars effortlessly out of thin air and then use those dollars to effectively own and control everyone and everything beneath them. (See: Fiat $lavery: We have been bought and paid for…with nothing.
The goal of total control is anything but new. Control of everything associated with economics (which is pretty much everything) is always a desire of those who would be god.
With total economic dominance in place, enforcing the most egregiously anti-Christian, dehumanizing, and - pay special attention to this last one - pro-State of policies will become much easier. Where today the Corporate owners of things like the United States government have to apply pressure through far less authoritarian means than they would prefer, the implementation of a comprehensively Banker/Government controlled economic system will make like things threatening lawsuits against Christians for refusing to participate in "gay marriage" celebrations into passé relics from the past. In a State/Banker controlled economy, businesses like Christian bakeries (or Christian anything elses) would never be allowed to get off the ground in the first place. And that's the point of "Mark of the Beast" economics. One of 'em, anyway.
Economics contrary to the Word of God will always by its very nature be used to persecute His people. (See also: A Mark of the Beast)
Ironically, it is the professing Christian Church that is most responsible for these Christian-persecuting systems being brought on line in the first place. By neglecting the Gospel-fueled Great Commission when it comes to teaching obedience to all that Christ has commanded in every area of life - including economics - the Church has ushered in the nightmare scenario that has now wrapped and wedged its vile tentacles into every nook and cranny of our lives.
So, as the enemies of Christ and His people ramp up their "Mark of the Beast" approach to economics (and everything else) right here and now out in the open for all to see, what are we going to do about it?
The choice for us is simple. The details and challenges to come after we make our choice may be hard, but the choice itself is simple:
- We will either sit idly and compliantly by as our enemies put more and more larger and larger teeth into their "Mark of the Beast" economic system, or...
- We will pray and seek the options for economic obedience (and true prosperity) that God has lovingly provided in His Word and then start pulling teeth from the "Beast" that even now strives to enslave and devour us, our children, and untold generations to come.
Lord willing, we will explore options along those lines in future posts. In the meantime, remember our mission as it relates to economics and everything else...the Gospel-fueled Great Commission:
And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." ~ Matthew 28:18-20 (emphasis added)
