There's an old saying among the elder generations – "You've got too many irons in the fire." This one sentences sums up what the Obama administration has been doing with all the new regulations and laws being debated and passed. The list has been extensive. As they say, "the irons are heating up" with the Obama administration's battle against "climate change."

Environmental scientist Roger Pielke from the University of Colorado testified at the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee hearing on Thursday.

According to Pielke, "It is misleading and just plain incorrect to claim that disasters associated with hurricanes, tornadoes, floods or droughts have increased on climate timescales either in the United States or globally. It is further incorrect to associate the increasing costs of disasters with the emission of greenhouse gas."

Pielke added, "Hurricanes have not increased in the US in frequency, intensity or normalized damage since at least 1900. The same holds true for tropical cyclones globally since at least 1970."

As I have maintained in a previous article, the scientific evidence establishing climate change or global warming is inconclusive when using the scientific method. However, this information matters not to the current administration since inconclusive data would go against the agenda set forth to cripple the United States economy and its people; therefore, it is ignored.

Democrats and Obama point quickly to climate change or global warming as the reason to develop green energy and wage war on coal. Without this seemingly "catastrophic" danger, many Americans would not embrace the administration's war against fossil fuels. The low intelligent "sheeple" have to have an eminent danger that is unquestionable in order to support bad policy.

Senate Democrats stress the increase in extreme weather, such as tornadoes, floods and hurricanes, as evidence of global warming. Their cheerleader, California Democrat Sen. Barbara Boxer, says climate change is real, humans are the cause and if you need evidence, just "look out the window." May be, Sen. Boxer doesn't know the view out of the window is different for everyone, everywhere. May be, Sen. Boxer doesn't realize the weather can change multiple times in a day.

Even Obama said, "Heat waves, droughts, wildfires and floods – all are now more frequent and intense," in his State of the Union address.

But, is that accurate?

According to Roger Pielke, it is not. Pielke states US floods have not increased in "frequency or intensity" since 1950. In fact, economic losses from floods have dropped by 75% as a percentage of GDP since 1940. Pielke notes that since 1950, tornado activity (intensity, frequency and normalized damage) have not increased and evidence suggests this has declined.

Regarding droughts, Pielke testified that, over the last century, droughts have covered smaller portions of the US, have been shorter and less frequent. Pielke said there has been very little change, globally, in the last 60 years.

Pielke added in his testimony, "The absolute costs of disasters will increase significantly in coming years due to greater wealth and populations in locations exposed to extremes. Consequent disasters will continue to be an important focus of policy, irrespective of the exact future course of climate change."

Still, Senators faced off on global warming/climate change with Democrats saying the effects of global warming are being felt now and Republicans saying the evidence of global warming attributed to humans is thin.

Sen. David Vitter, R-LA, said, "I would note that it has not been titled 'Global Warming: It's Happening Now. Maybe that would have been too ironic given the Earth's stagnant temperature for the last 15 years, a fact that is currently confounding climate scientists and modeling experts who predicted otherwise."

The Daily Caller reports:

Oklahoma Republican Sen. James Inhofe, a longtime critic of global warming claims, pointed to a set of Obama administration talking points on the "do's and don'ts" when talking about climate change.

The talking points suggested not leading with economic arguments, not talking about scientific consensus surrounding global warming, and instead focus on extreme weather.

Prior to the hearing, Republicans on the committee released a report that called into question many past global warming claims made by Democrats, as well as Obama administration policy proposals.

This didn't deter Senate Democrats who continued to argue that global warming could be seen today. Rhode Island Democrat Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse and Vermont independent Sen. Bernie Sanders, who caucuses with the Democrats, both pushed for taxing carbon emissions.

Republicans criticized the lack of White House testimony at the hearing.

"It is unfortunate we don't have any witnesses here from the Obama administration," Vitter said. "Just weeks ago, President Obama announced a sweeping climate action plan, which will undoubtedly tighten the federal government's grip on our economy."

"If the president is going after greenhouse gases, he won't stop at coal," said Wyoming Republican Sen. John Barasso.

Boxer, who chairs the committee, said no one from the administration was invited because they would be called in for future hearings on global warming.

Despite testimony to the contrary of extreme weather being caused by global warming, Democrats disregard the facts and proceed with their agenda to support Obama on clamping down on greenhouse gas emissions. Can you say "liberal useful idiots?"

The majority of low intelligent information voters would hear the words "global warming" and not understand what that term means. But, when that term is changed to "climate change" and references made to tornadoes, floods and hurricanes along with their devastating damage, every low intelligent information voter has something they can relate to and support. It is the perfect example of the political technique to truly mislead the public.

Obama and his henchmen administration are declaring as fact something scientist cannot confirm in order to increase ever more restrictive rules, regulations and laws limiting freedom. It also another way to throw taxpayer money into development of green energy technology only to find out that technology is too expensive to be practical at this point in time. But it does complete the goal of further crippling the US economy and its people.

Let's not forget, the largest emission of greenhouse gases come from cow farts and belches. What will the administration do about that? How long before cows will need to be culled because of emissions? That will never happen because it is proven fact and would not serve the purpose, yet, of further control. China produces more greenhouse gas emissions than the US, so why is not Obama calling on China to join in the fight against "global warming?" It all boils down to being a ruse. Another way to gain control of resources to enslave the public.

The administration along with the Democrats in Congress act like the United States exists in a bubble isolated from the rest of the world. In reality, weather is a global event; it happens everywhere and is ever changing. An erupting volcano in Indonesia can affect the entire globe. Anyone know about Krakatoa? Operating on half-truths, this administration seeks to change America in a way not realized. After all, that is what was promised. However, the truth can still be a lie when part of it is omitted.

All the irons in the fire that Congress has to deal with are heating up fast. They cannot get one thing resolved before another one rears its ugly head. Our country is divided along many different lines: race, environment, religion, the haves and have nots, gender to name a few. It keeps the house divided in order to prevent organization at a grass roots level to challenge and control our constitutional creature. So far, it looks to be working.

The majority of Americans and immigrants residing here believe America is a democracy (mob majority rule), instead of being a constitutional republic. These individuals cannot understand the protection of individual liberty and freedom. In order for the low intelligent information useful idiot voter to rise against tyranny, they first must recognize the truth, not the truth according to them or Obama, but the absolute truth. The truth is given to these individuals but the concept cannot be grasped or is not acknowledged. In order for these individuals to really wake up, the battle against tyranny will have to be lost or close to being lost in order to gain their attention.
