Families of those who have been killed in what Barack Obama called "phony" scandals have been speaking out. Yesterday, I told you about Pat Smith, the mother of Sean Smith who was killed in the attacks in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012 and how she told Fox News, "My Son Is Dead. How Could That Be Phony?" Now the family of slain Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry have come out and ripped Obama over his comments as well as White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, whose comments came just ahead of Obama's, referring to the scandals plaguing the administration as "phony."

"With an endless parade of distractions, political posturing and phony scandals, Washington has taken its eye off the ball," Obama said.

Terry's family responded to Obama's comments that there was nothing "phony" about his administration's oversight of Fast and Furious and reminded him that hundreds of deaths, including two federal agents, one being Brian Terry who was murdered with a weapon from Operation Fast and Furious in December 2010, were linked directly to his administration.

"These deaths are real. My son's death was real. I am outraged that President Obama is talking about phony scandals when he knows all too well that my son was a victim of Operation Fast and Furious that was authorized by members of his Justice Department and a U.S. Attorney that he appointed. Operation Fast and Furious was all too real for me and my family, and it directly contributed to my son's murder," Josephine Terry, the mother of Brian Terry said in a statement. "Mr. President, come to Michigan and I will show you my son's grave...then let's have a conversation about your definition of phony scandals."

Terry's uncle and President of the Brian Terry Foundation Ralph Terry said in a statement:

"The entire Terry family has experienced a level of 'trust deficit' in their government and its leaders since Brian was killed. It hurts to be treated like this and just adds insult to injury when the President speaks of phony scandals and minimizes the efforts of those officials tasked to investigate these matters."

The Terry family has been begging for answers and accountability now from the Obama administration for years now, much in the same manner that Pat Smith has been begging for nearly a year. They have even filed a $25 million wrongful death lawsuit against the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives officials.

Recently Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA) and Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) sent Attorney General Eric Holder a letter inquiring as to why the Justice Department is not informing Congress of weapons recovered from Fast and Furious. Specifically they referenced the most recent death as a result of the Justice Department's gun running operation, which was a Mexican police chief.

In September 2012 the Border Patrol station in Bisbee, AZ was officially renamed in Brian Terry's honor as a result of legislation put forth by Rep. Darrell Issa.

Hundreds of Mexicans have been murdered with weapons that the Obama administration knowingly watched walk across the border into the hands of Mexican drug cartels and at least two federal agents have been murdered with those same weapons. Yet, Barack Obama has the audacity to stand and thumb his nose at the American people and these families and claim these are nothing more than "phony" scandal. As I wrote before, the only thing phony here is the man Barack Hussein Obama or we better know him as Barry Soetoro, if we can even be assured either of these names are his real name.
