At the end of June, an action alert went out calling for militia members to repond to the invasion of illegal immigrants along the Texas border. Now reports are coming out that they have established a command center and are preparing for a military style operation to secure the border and "fight for national sovereignty."
According to the Washington Times:
A militia has set up a command center south of San Antonio to prepare for what they say is a mission to protect the United States from the influx of illegal immigrants.
The militia, operating via the website PatriotsInformationHotline.com, founded by Barbie Rogers, said members at the command center in Von Ormy will deploy to Laredo first and spread to other parts of the border, a local ABC affiliate reported.
"We have patriots all across this country who are willing to sacrifice their time, their monies, even quit their jobs to come down and fight for freedom, liberty and national sovereignty," said Chris Davis, who is apparently the commander of the Secure Our Border Laredo Sector group.
He also indicated that his group was not there to take over, but merely to "assist law enforcement."
"We're here to supplement and be where law enforcement is not and help them support the border," he told the Los Angeles Times. "There's nothing malicious, there's no malicious intent."
Border Patrol issued a statement to KRGV saying:
"Customs and Border Protection does not endorse or support any private group or organization from taking matters into their own hands as it could have disastrous, personal and public safety consequence."
"CBP appreciates the efforts of concerned citizens as they act as our eyes and ears. Securing our nation's borders can be dangerous. Interdicting narcotics and deterring and apprehending individuals illegally entering the U.S. requires highly trained law enforcement personnel."
In other words, the feds are telling militia to leave homeland security to the professionals. How's that working out for us? Not too good as it has been the constitutional duty of militia to repel invasions, and make no mistake this is an invasion.
Consider also that Border Patrol has been given the greatest amount of ammunition under Homeland Security ammunition purchases, yet they were told in April of last year that there was an ammo shortage, an obvious lie according to the numbers DHS provided to Senator Tom Coburn. On top of that, Border Patrol Agents have been told not to use their weapons, but rather to run, hide and throw things. This training was solidified in March of 2014. Now they are changing diapers, driving illegals around and contracting diseases as a result.
Davis, on the other hand, had a video on his YouTube channel up until this week, according to RT, which indicated how he and fellow militia members might deal with illegals that attempted to cross the border.
Frankly, I don't see a problem with the approach. If you keep them from crossing then they don't become a problem for taxpayers and for the society. However, it appears that after taking the video down, Davis has a different tone.
We're not here to cause discontent or hate in any measure. We are going to treat the innocent immigrants with all due humanitarian respect," he said.
Some are worried that the militia might be engaged by drug cartels or other gangs. While that is a real possibility, that has been going on with citizens who live on the border for years, many being killed. Even our own border patrol cannot escape the drug cartels or Mexican authorities crossing our border and engaging them with force. To correct Davis on one thing... these are not "innocent immigrants." They are "illegal" aliens, meaning they are breaking the law, period.
"They're going to do everything they can to quell an operation like this," Davis told KRGV of his group."The only reason why they don't mess with law enforcement is because it will start an international incident," Davis said.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook, Google Plus, & Twitter.
