Last night, the pro-abortion group "Lady Parts Justice" held an online streaming comedy telethon, to raise money to promote, and pay for, the killing of the unborn in the Lone Star State. Telethon participants were "invited to laugh and feel powerful" as they joined millions of American women "revitalizing an unstoppable movement standing up for reproductive rights."
You can find a Daily Beast article---praising this telethon---written by Sally Kohn a lesbian activist and Fox News contributor here.
The theme for last night's macabre internet gathering---sponsored by NARAL Pro-choice America and the New York Abortion Access Fund (NYAAF) ---was "Clear Eyes Full Hearts Can Choose." The host organization, "Lady Parts Justice" was proud to team up with these New York based abortion rights charities to host what they characterized as a "hastily planned but totally heartfelt variety show," held in a NYC basement, "to raise money for Texas women in need."
After looking at their web page, I was left with the distinct impression men were not welcome at this telethon. The page stated something about men being "pervs" always looking to get lucky. I cannot imagine how desperate a man would have to be to hope to get lucky at a gathering of New York lesbians and feminists.
To be short, a Texas law restricting abortion to the first 21 weeks of pregnancy (a reduction from 24 weeks) and another law requiring Texas doctors performing abortions to have local hospital admitting privileges offends these Lesbian/feminists groups. They also take issue with the rising cost and decreasing availability of safe abortion procedures.
I researched Texas Abortion services. You may be surprised to find abortion is relatively cheap in Texas (starting at $295) and abortion costs rise with length of pregnancy. Apparently, the older the baby the more complicated and expensive it becomes to tear it from its mother's womb. Moreover, after 15 weeks, special procedures are required and in many cases, brief hospitalization has always been required for late term procedures. You can find a link to a licensed Texas abortion provider and associated fees here.
In support of their efforts to lower the costs of extinguishing innocent lives, the "Lady Parts Justice" webpage claims the following:
"Women are not faking rape and they don't have magical powers to deactivate rape sperm. We are not pregnant before we are pregnant, we can't have an abortion if we are not pregnant, and I think we can all agree, women shouldn't be forced to carry stillborn babies. Abortion don't cause mental instability and the HPV vaccine doesn't make girls mentally retarded. No women's boss should be able to demand information from her to decide if her reason for wanting birth control is moral enough to grant permission."
After my head stopped spinning, I tried, but I have not been able to locate any studies or statistics that remotely suggest that lesbian rape by heterosexual males is at epidemic levels in American society. It is also common knowledge that an obscene plurality of abortions performed in America involve pregnant heterosexual females involved in consensual heterosexual relationships.
Given the lesbian communities obvious and proud disgust for men, I am having difficulty grasping lesbian activists' passionate desires for birth control---they do not need---and abortion services they rarely, if ever, require.
It has been said that you can judge a society by how it treats its youth and its elderly. I agree. Given the callous act of America's lesbian feminists---the holding of comedy internet telethons to raise money for killing of the unborn---what is America to conclude about the behavior of our minority Lesbian community?
In 1973, after experiencing substantial pressure from the "Gay Liberation Front," the American Psychiatric Association (APA) removed homosexuality as a mental disorder from the APA Diagnostic and Statistical Manual.
As a consequence of that decision, today lesbian activism promotes the killing of unborn babies to further their adopted and absurd cause, "comprehensive reproductive justice." Looking back, perchance the APA decision to remove homosexuality from its list of mental disorders was flawed after all.
Something is very wrong with a society when we condone using laughter to raise money to end a child's life.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook, Google Plus, & Twitter. You can also get Freedom Outpost delivered to your Amazon Kindle device here.
