A perfect example of why the establishment refuses to challenge Obama.

"Dad, why is Senator McCain still raising money? Didn't he say he was not running again?" This was the question I was recently asked by my teenage son, who was looking over my shoulder as I read my emails. I know, I know, but you see he loves to watch my reactions to hate mail.

Although I am not a member of the group, I was recently contacted via email by "Friends of John McCain." The email was from Senator McCain. Senator McCain started out by drawing my attention to "unprecedented challenges and complex challenges" that "will define America for generations to come" which morphed into the predictable plea for my cooperation in completing the Arizona Senators 2014 Congressional Issues Survey followed by the quintessential whore's request for money.

"Please stay in this fight with me: our country needs your help now as much as ever. After you take the survey please make a donation of $25, $59, $100 or more to ensure I have the funds necessary to continue this fight. "

If I did not know better, I would have thought it was sent by Barack Obama's Organizing for Action.

For those who care, the entire email can be found here.

In the 2012 election cycle, John McCain managed to raise $20.9 million dollars. According to www.opensecrets.org, John McCain ranks 19th on the list of wealthiest US Senators and has a net worth of $2.7 to $12.1 MILLION, with assets listed ranging from $8.2 to $15.5 MILLION.

After seeing these figures, my teenager asked, "Why does he need your money Dad? It looks like he has enough of his own. How much money do Senators make? Maybe I should become a Senator."

Out of the mouths of babes, as they say.

So America, perhaps you can answer these questions for what might be a future US Senate candidate.

Other than marrying well, how does a man who has spent 24 years as a public servant develop such wealth and property? Moreover, why does the Senator require contributions for a campaign for re-election if he is not running and why does a Senator from Arizona ask a resident of Texas what should be public policy priority?

I have already provided my explanation, to my future Senate candidate. It went something like this:

Because they are all thieves and liars. Because they have made it legal to steal from our treasury and bankrupt the country to service themselves. Because he is not required to use the money for an upcoming campaign he may not run. He can simply give the money away to his party or his party brethren.

I went on:

Regarding the sham survey about public policy priorities and the ongoing fight, it is also a lie. Senator McCain has outlived his unearned reputation, cares nothing about my opinion on national policy priorities and his supporters in the Real Estate, Law, Securities & Investment industries, and his leadership PAC "Friends of John McCain" need the money for the next flunky Arizona Senate candidate they want installed.

All over our Republic our representatives are enriching themselves, using the same scandalous techniques perfected by the most infamous community organizer in American history, Barrack Obama. Soliciting cash to pursue fights they avoid, yet were elected and sent to Washington win.

Yesterday, the House of Representatives passed a bill designed to legitimize suing a sitting President for failure to uphold his oath of office and execute his lawful executive responsibilities. In my day, that was an impeachable offense. That was a high crime or misdemeanor. Today, unfortunately, such acts go unprosecuted.

"I don't think I want to go into government Dad," said my young teenager.

"Why not," I asked.

"I would probably go to jail."

"Why would you say that," I asked.

"Because I wouldn't fit in. I would kick these guy's butts and they probably don't let you do that in Washington."

What can I say?
