The Florida Family Association has been at the forefront of warning the Tampa, Florida area of the impending "Islamization" of the area, claiming that the city is not far behind that of Dearborn, Michigan.

Recently, they exposed the Council on American-Islamic Relations' (CAIR) efforts to bar a training law enforcement officer, Sam Kharoba, because as they stated in a letter,

"He (Kharoba) encourages law enforcement officers to view Muslims with distrust. His training materials encourage law enforcement officers to profile and target Muslims."

Well good for Mr. Kharoba. He isn't being politically correct. The only people we've seen really with terrorist tendencies are Muslims, particularly young Muslim men. To not profile them is to be utterly irresponsible.

But this is just a small portion of what is taking place in Tampa. CAIR has been invited many times to Steinbrenner High School to indoctrinate children with Islamic propaganda, including shariah law.

The president of FFA, David Caton, claims that there is a reason that that this radical Islamic group has taken up residence in Tampa.

"Tampa has a very large population of Muslims," he said. "We've had numerous public officials embrace various political aspects of Islamist extremism and changes of policy that trend more toward sharia. Tampa is at risk; it's one of the top five cities at risk."

"Dearborn is almost lost because 50 percent of their population is Arabic-Muslim," he continues. "They can elect and dominate the government there. But we have a smaller population [of Muslims] in Tampa than Dearborn, and we're already having non-Islamic leaders embracing their progressive agenda."

Caton and his group took a hit from The Tampa Bay Tribune when they pointed out that Caton had offered a $2000 reward for tips about planned appearances by CAIR at the school. While a World History class did have Hassan Shibly in to speak about Islam, they claim that a teacher is present to make sure the speaker doesn't go to far. They had a priest and a rabbi lined up to speak as well, but apparently no Christian conservatives.

Caton demanded that a Christian conservative be given equal time. That has not been granted and the TBT made very light of the fact that a CAIR representative came in.

While I believe that we ought to be able to discuss these things, children are not in the public school system to learn about Islam. They are there to learn to read, write and do arithmetic. If they want to learn Islam, let them attend a mosque.

You see this is how the left has tried to reason with Christians. As a Christian I believe it is my role and duty, with my wife by my side, to teach our children and to tie all things, including history, math, science, writing and all learning for the objective of glorying the true and living God and His Son Jesus Christ. We have been told by many that Christianity is not welcome in the public school. So why is Islam welcome? Why is Judaism? Why is atheism allowed? Because when a people reject the true God, they will put forth a replacement idol and in our pluralistic society we have substituted many.

May God have mercy on us for departing from Him and may He raise up a standard of believers who will lovingly and boldly carry the gospel of Jesus Christ in Tampa and Dearborn against the flood of Islam that is pouring forth in those cities. May He grant it to the entire nation.
