Obama has been owned and outed by Iran. The hostages have already described the the events on the ground. They sat on a plane not for mere hours, but overnight, waiting for a second plane filled with cold hard cash – like a mafia deal from the thug-in-chief.
The enemedia isn’t covering it – they have their hands full destroying Trump and promoting Iran nuke dealer Hillary:
[Hostage] SAEED ABEDINI: I just remember the night that we’ve been in an airport – you know – just take hours and hours there. And I asked one of the intelligence police heads that was with us – that why we were not letting us to go to the [inaudible] plane and he told me we are waiting for another plane. And if that plane takes off then we are going to let you go.
Obama gave the murderous jihad state billions. And now the world will suffer the consequences of a newly enriched, newly sanctioned vicious Islamic state.
And this is yest another bold-faced lie in what is now a laundry list of traitorous deceptions: Israel bitterly rejects Obama’s claim it now backs Iran nuclear deal After US president said Israeli officials consider accord a ‘game changer,’ Defense Ministry compares it to the Munich Agreement with the Nazis
Obama should be tried for treason.
Vs the bold faced liar:Video Player00:0007:39The Wire: Barack Obama and his State Department have had a very bad week. After the Wall Street Journal broke the news of a secret transfer of $400 million in foreign currency via unmarked cargo plane to Iran back in January, the White House has been forced to repeatedly deny having paid what was clearly in effect a ransom to terror-sponsoring Iran for the release of American hostages. Now, footage aired on Iran’s state-controlled television has surfaced that purports to show that cargo plane-load of cash.
Iran has aired a documentary created a few months ago containing footage of pallets of millions in foreign currency that the video claims was part of the “expensive price” the Obama administration paid to free the four U.S. hostages in January.
Video: Obama on Iran payment: ‘We do not pay ransom’
Though it’s uncertain if the footage actually shows the $400 million in foreign currency (used to skirt U.S. law forbidding giving Iran U.S. dollars) transported at the same time the four American hostages were released, the overt attempt to humiliate America has certainly done its propagandistic job, and throws more fuel on the fire for the administration.
The Washington Free Beacon provides some more details on the footage:
BBC Persian reporter Hadi Nili posted the footage on Twitter, describing it as showing the “pallets of cash” and quoting officials as saying “this was just part of the ‘expensive price’ to release Americans.”
The footage, which is from an Iranian documentary published a few months ago, contradicts claims by Obama administration officials maintaining that the payment was completely unrelated to the release of these U.S. hostages, despite the payment having been supplied on the same day these individuals were freed by Iran.
The video also claims that the Obama administration insisted that Iranian officials keep the transfer of money absolutely secret and threatened them should they leak information to the press. Clearly, the Iranians aren’t overly concerned about threats from this administration.
Omri Ceren has this:
On Wednesday morning the WSJ published its story about the Obama administration sending Iran $400 million in cash while the Iranians released some American hostages [a]. Critics said the story proved the administration paid Iran a ransom for the hostages. The administration denied the characterization and said the money was unrelated to the hostages.
To resolve the issue, reporters have been trying to nail down the timing of two relevant flights: the plane with the hostages leaving Iran and the plane with the money arriving in Iran. If the hostages were held until the money arrived, it would strongly suggest the administration has been misleading reporters about the transfer being unrelated to the hostages.
The administration has declined to clarify the sequence since the WSJ story came out. State Department spokesperson Toner got the question on Wednesday from Fox News reporter James Rosen and today from AP reporter Matt Lee, and he said he didn’t have an answer.
Then on today’s FBN “Intelligence Report with Trish Regan,” Trish Regan interviewed Pastor Saeed Abedini, one of the hostages freed in the deal last January. He locked down the sequence: the hostages’ plane was indeed held up until the Iranians confirmed that a second plane had arrived. Originally the hostages were supposed to be taken from prison to their plane with minimal delays, but instead they were held in the airport overnight – despite the plane, pilot, and hostages being ready – and Abedini was told they’d never be allowed to leave if that second plane didn’t show up.
The video and FBN story are online [b]. Here’s the exchange:
ABEDINI: I just remember the night that we’ve been in an airport – you know – just take hours and hours there. And I asked one of the intelligence police heads that was with us – that why we were not letting us to go to the [inaudible] plane and he told me we are waiting for another plane. And if that plane takes off then we are going to let you go.
REGAN: So did they actually take you out of the prison that you were in? And I want to get to the conditions that you had to live through in just a moment, but they took you out of your prison and brought you to an airport?
ABEDINI: Yeah we were at the airport for a night and you know they told us –
REGAN: – so you slept there at the airport?
ABEDINI: Yes for a night. And, you know, they told us you are going to be there for 20 minutes but it took like hours and hours. We slept at the airport and when I asked them why you don’t let us go – because the plane was there, pilot was there, everyone was ready that we leave the country – they said we are waiting for another plane. And until that plane doesn’t come we never let you go.
REGAN: So eventually another plane came, and did they then put you on that plane or were they just waiting for that plane, and I think you know where I am going with this, were they effectively waiting for the money to come in before they then let you take off?
ABEDINI: Yeah they didn’t talk about money they just told us about – they told me – about the plane. And you know the plane of Prime Minister of Switzerland was already in Iran, which you know we came back with that plane actually – so their reason that they said you are here in the airport was just because we were waiting for another plane.
REGAN: Okay so what happened did the other plane eventually land or did it land at another airport somewhere else?
ABEDINI: After that they never told anything to me and I didn’t see anything, you know –
REGAN: So do you have any idea how many hours you actually waited for this other plane?
ABEDINI: For a night. You know we went to the airport I think it was like 2, 3pm and we waited there for a whole night. And we, you know, fly back I think the day after at 10 in the morning.
The confirmation is already being described by Iran watchers as a “smoking gun” proving a ransom [c].
In case you need them, here are the Wednesday and Thursday briefings on the question. Toner refused to clarify the timeline but declared “categorically” there was no connection between the hostages and the money.
ROSEN/FOX: Can you at least assure us that the hostages were in the process of being set free prior to the touching down of this plane with the pallets of cash?
TONER: I’m – so – and I’m going to be very precise here. So – and I was actually with the Secretary in Vienna, I want to say, when we did reach the – this was the night of the implementation of the JCPOA. And as I said, it was a moment where three separate lines of effort were culminating at the same time. And all of them were, as I said, separate but distinct lines of effort operating concurrently. You had the JCPOA implementation day, you had the freeing of the American hostages or detainees, and you also had this Hague settlement taking place. So as to the timing, I simply don’t – I can’t answer conclusively that these hostage – or these detainees, Americans, were on a plane before that money arrived. I might be able to get you an answer on that, but what I can say —
ROSEN/FOX: If you could take it as a taken question.
MR TONER: Sure. What I can say though categorically is that there was not any kind of understanding on the part of the Iranians and certainly not on the part of us that these two were linked, that one had to happen before the other would.
LEE/AP: And then, yesterday, I believe you agreed to take the question from my colleague James Rosen about the timing of the plane carrying the – I won’t say cash; I’ll say just carrying the method of payment for the 400 million.
LEE/AP: Did it land in Tehran before or after the plane carrying the prisoners left Tehran for Geneva?
TONER: And I don’t believe we’ve gotten clarity on that as well either. In terms of the timing, I don’t have it.
