If you are frustrated with the current occupant in the White House and his thug accomplices, know you are not alone. On Saturday, a Tea Party group sponsored an "Impeach Obama" demonstration on a major Southern California freeway overpass. The protest caused traffic to back up at least ten miles, as American citizens showed their support for the demonstration by honking their horns.

According to the Carlsbad Patch:

With signs saying "Remember Benghazi," "Obama Lies" and "No Amnesty," a group of people held an Impeach Obama demonstration Saturday on a Carlsbad overpass that slowed southbound traffic on Interstate 5.

Advertised on meetup.com, the event was described as anti-Obama, "but that includes anti-amnesty, gun rights, eligibility skepticism, illegal wars, Benghazi, etc., whatever your preferred reason is that Obama should be removed from office."

It is believed that 25,000 to 30,000 vehicles would drive under the overpass and see the signs. Just after noon, the traffic came to a crawl that reached from the protest site to the main gate of Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base (oh the irony), which is located about ten miles away.

Roger Ogden, a Tea Party activist and supporter of impeaching Barack Obama said, "I would say sorry for any small inconvenience they may have suffered."

He went on to email Ken Stone, writing "But it is also inconvenient to the entire nation to have a lawless president in office who murders American citizens without judicial process; wages illegal war without congressional approval required by the Constitution, including a terroristic drone war, which has killed about 5,000 people including many children and innocent bystanders in allied countries; dictates law by executive order and generally trashes the Constitution."

"It is not even clear that he is eligible for the office he holds," he added.

There is another demonstration that is being planned for Independence Day Weekend. Perhaps, we can all rally around the country at overpasses in various cities. See? This is what happens when the people get up from off the couch and take to the streets. This pressure will be felt by elected officials who may be sitting back and taking things easy, instead of doing their duty. It is the people who must exhort them to do what is right. God bless the Tea Party there in California!
