Attorney General Eric Holder has indicated that he might not be hanging around in the Obama Department of Justice for a second term, at least that is what he told a group of law students at the University of Baltimore School of Law.
“That’s something that I’m in the process now of trying to determine,” Holder said. “I have to think about, can I contribute in a second term?”
Holder told the student, “[I have to] really ask myself the question about, do I think there are things that I still want to do? Do I have gas left in the tank? It’s been an interesting and tough four years, so I really just don’t know."
Holder has been under investigation for his involvement in the Fast and Furious scandal and became the first sitting Attorney General to be held in contempt of Congress. Barack Obama also invoked executive privilege in the investigation when official documents had been subpoenaed and to keep a key witness from testifying before Congress and to the Inspector General Michael Horowitz.
He has also been outspoken with regards to Voter ID laws, as well as, being one that is clearly anti-gun, even stating that he believed there was a need to "brainwash" people on guns.
In addition, his failure to uphold the law with regards to the Defense of Marriage Act and Immigration laws has brought him under intense scrutiny as well.
One has to wonder what is prompting thoughts of an escape route. Does he really think that getting out of the administration will keep him from the ongoing investigations? Now, I suppose we have to wonder whether someone even more corrupt than Eric Holder will be taking his place. I can only guess the answer to that question would be in the affirmative.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook, Google Plus, & Twitter.
