With all the recent news swirling about over Bill Clinton's trips to orgy island, his many flights to and from, and is rather questionable friendships to dirty old men (birds of a feather and all), many are questioning Hillary's presidential viability.

It seems most Washington political pundits agree that if Hillary is derailed, this will be the reason.

I don't think that's it at all, and like some others, I have questioned why anyone should fear Hillary Clinton. In my opinion, if and when she is derailed, it will have nothing to do with her low life philandering faux-husband.

Bill is a known quantity. It's been no secret who this man was and is still. He's led a double life for as long as we can remember. He's a dirt bag womanizer and simultaneously, a likable guy. He has a seedy side, but is also well liked by whom we all consider to be good and honorable people, like the Bush family.

Frankly, I know of no other person alive today who could pull that off. People know he's a bag of dirt, yet they can't help but like him. That's rare.

And for this reason, he won't be the cause of Hillary's demise. It really comes down to one thing - likeability. She is simply not likable.

I don't know who the Dems will find, and there may be no one, but I'll bet in back rooms somewhere the Democrat power-brokers are turning over every rock to find someone to unseat her, just like last time.

I'm convinced that Obama was chosen first and foremost because he wasn't Hillary. First, he was black, and that was big check mark in his favor, obviously. Second, he was an unknown, so people didn't know enough to like him or not. They could and did project on him, whatever positive traits they chose.

Hillary, then and now, is well known, so there can be no projection. She is not at all likable and I don't believe people want to see the Wicked Witch of the West Wing on a daily basis.

A 2016 University of New Hampshire poll of Democrats shows only one third of those polled labeled her "most likable" and the same for "most believable."

One Democrat pundit said that female candidates, far more than men, are judged on likability. There may be some validity to that. You know - the whole loving mom versus stern dad thing. I guess I can see low information voters judging candidates that way.

During the height of the 2008 campaign between Hillary and Obama, a Democrat poll found that 51% of primary voters judged her as "hard to like." Just one month later, in April, the number jumped another two points. You're not going to win if you can't even get hard-core lefty primary voters to like you.

Oh, and there's the hag factor. She's old and ain't getting any younger. No one wants to witness her rapid aging while in office. Rush Limbaugh pointed this out years ago and he is absolutely correct. It may not be fair, but it is correct.

I'm reminded of the Indiana Jones movie where Indy and his dad (Sean Connery) go in search of the Holy Grail. They find where it has been hidden, but the villain gets the drop on them.

The villain is told that he must choose the right cup, the true Holy Grail. He chooses the wrong cup, drinks from it, thinking he will be transformed into a young man for all eternity, but instead, seconds after he drinks, he begins to age at hyper-speed, until he literally turns to dust.

That will be Hillary, and that is something no one wants to witness.
