Debt ceiling?

Who needs a debt ceiling?

Sure, as a rhetorical device to keep the programmed, State-dependent masses thinking that this whole unbiblical economic Jenga Tower of Babel is somehow manageable and will work out just swell for us in the end, yeah, that sort of "debt ceiling" has all kinds of value to a political elite hell bent on riding this system to its inevitably bitter end. (See: Why our economic Jenga Tower Of Babel must fall.)

But a real debt ceiling, as in: a fixed point beyond which one may not go any further into debt?

Fuhgeddaboutit.

Not. Gonna. Happen.

Not in 'Merica anyway.

That kind of debt ceiling has no real chance of making an appearance here in "the land of the free" and the home of the NSA any time soon.

For the Republican and Democrat "leaders" atop the Pagan Political Right and Pagan Political Left wings of the dragon that is the American State, the concept of a "debt ceiling" is about as solid and reliable as…well…pretty much every other basic term being perpetually redefined into oblivion these days.

You know, like "family," "marriage," "life," and such.

These days in America, a debt ceiling is akin to a push-button retractable Camaro convertible top. It goes away whenever a politician nudges the right button.

And that happens quite often these days, as you might expect. Take Monday night, for example.

As Breitbart reported:

The giant debt ceiling increase rolled together with a budget deal was introduced at 11:36 p.m. Monday, in the dead of night, several congressional sources confirm to Breitbart News.

The text is 144 pages long and increases the debt ceiling beyond when President Barack Obama leaves office, all the way until March 2017.  It also, according to Politico, increases spending by $50 billion this year and $30 billion more the following year.

As AP reports, House Speaker Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) is pushing for a Wednesday vote, this would be yet another instance in which he has broken his promise to give members and the public three full days—72 hours—to read legislation before voting on it.

So here we go again…the "conservative Republican Party" (the Pagan Political Right) is doing what it does best: Enable and expand State-power and citizen-dependence (the two go hand in hand) by working with the Democrat Party (the Pagan Political Left) to pop the top on our Camaro convertible style "debt ceiling" right on cue, all while taking in the vast majority of politically active "conservative Christians" with the narrative that they – the GOP – are somehow, some way, going to end up leading us anywhere other than to the same Orwellian Statist hell charted by their Democrat pals on the other side of the puppet show stage. (See: How's that Pagan "conservatism" workin' out for ya, Christian?)

And American Christians just play along, as always.

In the meantime, our children, grandchildren, and yet unborn generations are sold deeper and deeper into bondage so that we "conservative Christians" can get just one…more…hit…

Just one more Social Security check….

Just one more public school program…

Just one more unemployment "benefit"…

Just one more "free" this or "free" that…

Just one more bit of "help" from the State that now owns us through the power of fake money. (See: Our "Free Money" Heroin Habit: Why "conservative Christian" Americans sell their own children for just one more hit of Socialism.)

May God grace His people with conviction, repentance, and the faith to trust in Him for all necessary provision in accordance with His Nature as revealed in His Word. Then and only then will we finally find freedom from the shackles of American Statism. Then and only then will our children and grandchildren be freed from the chains that we have forged through our rebellion.
