TransAsia Flight 235, carrying 58 passengers, crashed just after takeoff on Wednesday in Taipei. One motorist's dash camera caught the event in which the plane lost control and its wing clipped a bridge.

Here is the chilling final moments of TransAsia Flight 235.

Still photos of the incident were tweeted out by Steve Herman.

As the wing hits the bridge, there is a taxi cab that is also struck and then the plane descends on the other side of the bridge, breaking up into several pieces.

The crashed happened near the Taipei Songshan Airport in a highly populated area of the city. The fuselage was submerged at the bottom of the Keelung River.

More than 20 people were killed.

You can see that the crash happens literally moments after takeoff and that in just a moment many people lost their lives and went to meet their Judge, the Lord Jesus Christ. These people had plans for the day. They had made travel arrangements, had probably determined who they would meet and what they would do when they landed at their projected destination and may have even planned far out into the future. But that was over in an instant.

James charges us:

Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit"; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that."

Let us remember that whatever we do and whatever our plans are, we should be mindful of the fact that our lives are in the hands of the Creator, and that we will only accomplish those things if He wills it. Though we may think we have many years ahead of us and make many plans concerning many things, God may have something completely different in mind. Remember, our lives are like a vapor. Let's make them count for the glory of God.
