In one corner, we have a corrupt and brutal quasi-dictator, Bashar al-Assad, whom we are told has been killing his own citizens for 2 years now. And in the other corner we have Al Qaeda backed rebels who eat the hearts and livers of loyalist troops they slaughter. Will someone please tell me who the "good-guys" are?

I have read quite a few reliable articles that report the rebels have used sarin nerve gas and blamed it on President Assad.

Here is what I read from RenewAmerica.com:

"There is a now-viral report by AP reporter Dale Gavlak that the Sarin gas release in Syria, blamed by virtually all Western governments on President Assad, was the result of an accident caused by the rebel forces who intended to use the gas.

The world already knew that the Turkish government had found Sarin gas in the possession of Syrian rebels."

In that article, Donald Hank goes on to mention other sources that confirm those reports. Now if the rebels have access to sarin gas, should we be supporting them? If I found this material to be credible, then how can President Obama not know this? The last thing I ever thought I'd hear from a "Nobel Peace Prize" winner say, is we have to launch a preemptive strike on another sovereign nation when there is obviously so much conflicting information. Seriously, if Al Qaeda-backed rebels have the ability to use a WMD, do we really want to support these whack-jobs? We all know that Al Qaeda is a terrorist organization, just like the Muslim Brotherhood (I mentioned them in a previous article here on Freedom Outpost), Since when is the United States of America in the business of lending support to the people that want to kill us ? Am I the only one in the room that has a problem with this?

There are other reports of Syrian rebels committing atrocities of their own, such as the video indicates below.

Again, these are the people Barack Obama, John Kerry, John McCain, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and John Boehner want us to help?

"So the key point that I want to emphasize to the American people: The military plan that has been developed by the joint chiefs and that I believe is appropriate is proportional," Obama said Tuesday morning before a meeting with congressional leaders at the White House. "It is limited.  It does not involve boots on the ground.  This is not Iraq, and this is not Afghanistan."

"Does not involve boots on the ground," those are his words.

Secretary of State John Kerry was a little more confused about whether or not there would be boots on the ground in Syria. Kerry told Congress, "But in the event Syria imploded, for instance, or in the event there was a threat of a chemical weapons cache falling into the hands of al-Nusra or someone else, and it was clearly in the interest of our allies and all of us, the British, the French and others, to prevent those weapons of mass destruction falling into the hands of the worst elements. I don't want to take off the table an option that might or might not be available to a president of the United States to secure our country."

“I don’t want anything coming out of this hearing that leaves any door open to any possibilities, so let’s shut that door now, as tight was we can,” he testified to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. “All I did was raise a hypothetical question about some possibility and I’m thinking out loud about how to protect American’s interests. There will not be American boots on the ground with respect to the civil war.”

He then retreated from that assertion saying, "I'm confident that can be worked out. The bottom line is the president has no intention and will not, and we do not want to, put American troops on the ground to fight this -- or be involved in the fighting of this civil war, period."

I'm sorry folks, but I tend not to believe the word of a man who has thrown his fellow American service members under the bus and accused them of atrocities and rape, or did Kerry think that some of us have forgotten about that? As far as I'm concerned, John Kerry has as much credibility as "Hanoi Jane." Who's to say what will happen if we do strike Syria and forgive me for asking again, but "Who the hell are the good guys?"  And we all know how President Obama is about getting Americans out of a tight spot. Does Benghazi ring any bells for some of you?

No, folks we do NOT need to be involved, nor do we have any need to send money, weapons or any other help to people that hate us!  I'm calling my member of congress and will tell them "No" on Syria.

I have to agree with Sarah Palin on this one people, we should definitely let Allah Sort it out.

UPDATE: I sent my Congresswoman Jaime Buetler a letter as promised. Here it is.

Congresswoman Beutler:

First let me congratulate you on the birth of your child. As a father of 3, I know how proud and happy you must be right now, again, congratulations.

As in regards to the situation in Syria, there is credible evidence that the rebels are the ones who have used and are in possession of Sarin nerve gas.I am a contributor for an internet news outlet called Freedom Outpost and I just last night posted an article in regards to that issue. Not only are the rebels using Sarin and blaming it on President Assad, but they are committing the most horrible crimes known to man against Syrian loyalist forces. Here is the link to that article, please read it :http://freedomoutpost.com/2013/09/comes-syria-let-allah-sort/

Next, I assume that you will be in Washington D.C. for the extremely important upcoming vote on the resolution granting the President the authority to take military action against the sovereign nation of Syria in retaliation for Assad allegedly using chemical weapons against the Syrian people.

I IMPLORE you to vote a resounding NAY against this fool hearty attempt to save face for Barack Obama at the expense of innocent Syrian civilians and the valiant members of our military forces!

I see absolutely no proof that these chemical attacks were perpetrated by the Assad regime. Obama has been unable to put together a "coalition of the willing" consisting of even a single other nation!

The repercussions of such an attack are unknown and potentially catastrophic!

The only thing at stake here is the credibility of an incompetent President with a habit of lying to the American people and not taking responsibility for any of his countless moronic mistakes and careless words.
You must stand up to the pressure and vote NAY on this dangerous resolution!

The American people want no part of this charade.

Sincerely,
Richard Anthony
