Hamas Invested $90 Million in Tunnels to Attack Israel While Their People Live in Squalor

Rational and objective human beings ask themselves many questions, research non-revisionist history, interview survivors of wars, or search authentic and official documents before they form an opinion or take sides. Liberal progressives seem to view the world, knowledge, and revisionist history through the tinted glasses of government doctrine promoted by the mainstream media.

Denis MacEoin calls the western pro-Hamas supporters the new Romantics. They chanted by the thousands in London recently in support of this terrorist organization, in support of the "myth of Islam as the path to peace."

Thousands of deranged individuals harboring anti-Semitic hatred were demonstrating against Israel and chanting, "Hamas, Hamas, Jews to the Gas." What history have they studied in school?

People have forgotten or deny what happened to 6 million Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, the handicapped, the not-so-perfect humans who were dehumanized, maligned, cartooned, mistreated, tortured, gassed, burned, and buried in mass graves while the world witnessed the atrocities from afar, turning a blind eye. The music got louder in homes and churches to drown out the wailing from the passing cattle trains filled to capacity with suffering humans.

The Office of the Historian at the U.S. Department of State describes the establishment of the State of Israel on May 14, 1948, recognized by President Harry S. Truman on the same day.

"Although the United States supported the Balfour Declaration of 1917, which favored the establishment of a Jewish national home in Palestine, President Franklin D. Roosevelt had assured the Arabs in 1945 that the United States would not intervene without consulting both the Jews and the Arabs in that region. The British, who held a colonial mandate for Palestine until May 1948, opposed both the creation of a Jewish state and an Arab state in Palestine as well as unlimited immigration of Jewish refugees to the region."

What was Palestine exactly? Was it ever a country? Why would the Jews claim the land of Israel as their own? Was it because God promised them the land to Abraham? Was it because the Jewish people settled and developed the land? Was it because the land was captured in defensive wars? Was it because political sovereignty was granted by international decision to the Jewish people in Palestine? How many lands and territories have been redrawn, granted, and resettled around the world as a result of war, conquest, and reparations?

The Twelve Tribes of Israel founded the first constitutional monarchy in Palestine around 1000 B.C. King David made Jerusalem the nation's capital. Jewish independence lasted 212 years, then it was split into two separate kingdoms.

Linguistically, "Palestine" is thought to have derived from Philistines, an Aegean people who settled around the Mediterranean coast in the area known today as Israel and the Gaza strip. The Arabic word "Filastin" is believed to have derived from the Latin name. The Romans applied the name "Palaestina" to Judea, the southern portion of today's West Bank, in the second century after crushing the last Jewish revolt in an "attempt to minimize the Jewish identification with the land of Israel."

The Jewish people did not just disappear in the year 70 A.D. after the destruction of the Second Temple and reappeared in the 20th century demanding their lands back. They have kept strong connections to their homeland for 3,700 years, a national language, and a distinct civilization. Jewish life and presence continued and flourished even after the destruction of the temple in the form of communities in Jerusalem and Tiberias through the 9th century and in the 11th century in Rafah, Gaza, Ashkelon, Jaffa, and Caesarea.

For centuries, in spite of the fact that Jewish people were forced off their lands or massacred, rabbis and Jewish pilgrims immigrated to Jerusalem and the Galilee and established communities in Safed and Jerusalem for hundreds of years. By 19th century more than 10,000 Jews lived throughout what is considered Israel of today.

"When Jews began to immigrate to Palestine in large numbers in 1882, fewer than 250,000 Arabs lived there, and the majority of them had arrived in recent decades. Palestine was never an exclusively Arab country, although Arabic gradually became the language of most the population after the Muslim invasions of the seventh century. No independent Arab or Palestinian state ever existed in Palestine. When the distinguished Arab-American historian, Princeton University Prof. Philip Hitti, testified against partition before the Anglo-American Committee in 1946, he said: "There is no such thing as 'Palestine' in history, absolutely not." In fact, Palestine is never explicitly mentioned in the Koran, rather it is called "the holy land" (al-Arad al-Muqaddash)."

Palestinian Arabs did not view themselves as a separate identity. The first Congress of Muslim-Christian Association which met in February 1919 to elect a Palestinian representative for the Paris Peace Conference adopted this resolution:

"We consider Palestine as part of Arab Syria, as it has never been separated from it at any time. We are connected with it by national, religious, linguistic, natural, economic and geographical bonds."

Auni Bey Abdul-Hadi, a local Arab leader, told the Peel Commission in 1937, which suggested the partition of Palestine: "There is no such country [as Palestine]! 'Palestine' is a term the Zionists invented! There is no Palestine in the Bible. Our country was, for century's, part of Syria."

Who were the Zionists and what is Zionism? It is a nationalist movement that promoted the formation of a Jewish homeland. Theodor Herzl is believed to be the founder of the Zionist movement in his 1896 book, Der Judenstaat, in which he envisioned the formation of a Jewish state. The common denominator of Zionists is thought to be a claim to Eretz Israel as the national homeland of the Jewish people.

Zionists defend their national liberation movement for the repatriation of a dispersed socio-religious group. Its members have been forcibly converted, exiled, oppressed, forced into generations of Diaspora, and invaded and occupied by the Ottoman Empire in Judea and Samaria.

Anti-Zionists criticize Zionism as a "colonialist and racist ideology" that caused the denial of rights and expulsion of the "indigenous population of Palestine."

There are many myths circulating among anti-Semites who cover their hatred with the phrase, "We respect Judaism but are against Zionism." One such myth is that "Israel discriminates against its Arab citizens." That is hardly the case when, in a population of 6.7 million, 1.1 million are Muslims, 130,000 are Christians, and 100,000 are Druze. Arab women can vote and Arabs hold 14 seats in the Knesset, the unicameral lawmaking body in Israel.

There is the myth that "Jews are building settlements on Palestinian land." There is no Palestinian land, and the statement, "Palestine, the country, goes back through most of recorded history" is convenient propaganda. Yashiko Sagamori asked very pertinent questions to elucidate the mystery of this non-existent country, and I added a few of my own:

  • When and by whom was Palestine founded as a country?
  • What were its borders, capital, official language, and major cities?
  • What were its economy, major industries, and GDP?
  • What was its form of government and leaders prior to Arafat and his PLO?
  • What was the name of its currency and exchange rate against other currencies?
  • With whom did it engage in international trade?
  • What were its famous places, museums, universities, operas?
  • Who were its famous scholars and inventors, painters, sculptors, musicians, architects, engineers?
  • Since Palestine no longer exists, presumably because of the Jews, what caused its demise and when exactly did it occur?

If you look at a map of Israel, it is a tiny nation surrounded by vast Arab lands, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Turkmenistan, etc. Sagamori wonders "if the people you mistakenly call 'Palestinians' are anything but generic Arabs collected from all over—or thrown out of –the Arab world, if they really have a genuine ethnic identity that gives them right for self-determination, why did they never try to become independent until Arabs suffered their devastating defeat in the Six Day War?"

Jerrold L. Sobel eloquently destroys the myth that "The Palestinian Authority protects Jewish holy sites." "Forget about protecting these sites – in textbooks, speech, and daily life, the Palestinians and their supporters absurdly deny any Jewish connection at all to these ancient landmarks." (Jerrold L. Sobel, There Was Never a Country Called Palestine, February 12, 2012)

While the western world is donating billions each year to help build a prosperous society on the Gaza strip, develop the economy, and elevate citizens from poverty, Hamas has been busy over the last four years building very expensive and intricate tunnels, an underground city in which bizarre weddings take place side by side with military operations aimed at ultimately destroying Israel and wiping it off the face of the earth.

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) found 30 such tunnels. Their construction was estimated at $3 million each. Hamas could have invested in the people of Gaza. For each tunnel, it could have built 86 homes, 7 mosques, 6 schools, and 19 medical clinics. Instead, it invested in terrorism.

Hamas spending 90 million... That's nothing... Look at Hussein Fraudobama... He spends way more than that in taxpayer donations flying to fundraisers, golfing and vacationing... Yeah, Hamas needs to steal more and spend more if they want to get any type of rating in the deception racket... When it comes to the confidence racket, our Indonesian post turtle puppet with the fake ID has set a new worlds record...

Hamas holes are being funded by Obama. Why do you think we are reaching 25 trillion in debt (no one can track where missing money went) Obama is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. Why do you think ALL of these terrorist groups have come back with tons of money? We have every terrorist cell known to man in this country and they are ALL backing and helping Obama. Al-Q, C.A.I.R., Al-Jazeera, etc., can walk into the white house anytime and meet with Obama. They don't even sign the visitors book. Wake up America. All terrorist cells have come across the southern border with Obama's blessing. Connect the dots. He is imploding this country with every avenue possible. No jobs, dollar down, security down, borders open, Muslims at every level of the law and security, no military to speak of, etc... think about it. You know why we can't get to his real birth certificate? Because he is using our tax dollars and Muslim lawyers to keep it hidden. Every law suit against him in every state is being paid by our tax dollars. He is not using his own money to pay for all of this. The Muslim lawyer gets millions every year to block law suits.

Guess you've never read the Zionist "Plan Delat" of 1948 which stated the methodical intentions of how the Zionist military, suppled with arms from the Checs and Russians would invade a designated number of villiages to expel native Arabs (Palestinians), or kill them if they resisted. This is fact. Within a years time they managed to expel over half the Arab population at gun point. Here's one excerpt describing an event:
“One day, or rather night, in 1956 I sat up at his [Ben-Gurion's] house till three in the morning. That night, a beautiful summer night, we had a forthright discussion on the Arab problem. "I don't understand your optimism," Ben-Gurion declared. "Why should the Arabs make peace? If I were an Arab leader I would never make terms with Israel. That is natural: we have taken their country. Sure, God promised it to us, but what does that matter to them? Our God is not theirs. We come from Israel, it's true, but two thousand years ago, and what is that to them? There has been anti-Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They only see one thing: we have come here and stolen their country. Why should they accept that? They may perhaps forget in one or two generations' time, but for the moment there is no chance. So it's simple: we have to stay strong and maintain a powerful army. Our whole policy is there.

Nahum Goldmann, in The Jewish Paradox : A Personal Memoir of Historic Encounters that Shaped the Drama of Modern Jewry (1978), as translated from the French by Steve Cox, pp 99-100 ISBN 0-448-15166-9 . One quote appearing here has sometimes been given erroneously as "That is natural: they think we have taken their country." The original "C'est normal; nous avons pris leur pays." is properly translated as "That is natural: we have taken their country".

Israel was built on Zionist money and terrorist groups like the Irgun and The Stern Gang. Look them up, Google and see for yourself. And one last thing: Read what David Ben-Gurion, the first president of Israel stated:

Quote: "The centre of the war is in Palestine, but its dimensions are much wider. When we say that the Arabs are the aggressors and we defend ourselves — this is only half the truth. As regards our security and life we defend ourselves and our moral and physical position is not bad. We can face the gangs... and were we allowed to mobilize all our forces we would have no doubts about the outcome... But the fighting is only one aspect of the conflict which is in its essence a political one. And politically we are the aggressors and they defend themselves. Militarily, it is we who are on the defensive who have the upper hand but in the political sphere they are superior. The land, the villages, the mountains, the roads are in their hands. The country is theirs, because they inhabit it, whereas we want to come here and settle down, and in their view we want to take away from them their country, while we are still outside. They defend bases which are theirs, which is easier than conquering new bases... let us not think that the terror is a result of Hitler's or Mussolini's propaganda — this helps but the source of opposition is there among the Arabs.”

David Ben-Gurion—Address at the Mapai Political Committee (7 June 1938) as quoted in Flapan, Simha, 1979.

And the Zionist accomplished most of their stated goals...now if only we could get rid of the rest of them...

Hamas is a terrorist organization. In spite of that the United Nations took them in as members several months ago where they gave them money. Prior to that Obama was giving them money. Research it. Ask you search engine "how much of our American money did Obama give Hamas?"

    • saburo

Please give me the news articles or other information that shows the number of Israeli civilians who were attacked using the tunnels. I'd like to show it to a friend who says the tunnels did not cause deaths or even harm citizens if Israel. So that would be great if you could provide links to those articles. Thank you. I know this article talks about money given to Palestinians and I know the US has given the State of Israel over $100 billion dollars along with missiles, bombs, artilery for tanks, US hellicopters, F-16s and Phospherous bombs. I know we gave 228 million a couple of weeks ago to resupply the Iron Dome to prevent rockets from hitting in Israel. I'm glad they work because they say the cost of each of those rockets is $30,000 dollars. That's almost what I make in a year going up in smoke! That's our tax payer money going to protect Israel from those Hamas rockets. I think there were 3 civilians killed so far the past month. I know our money helped wipe out at least 400 children terrorists and killed a bunch of women and old people too to get revenge for the 3 adults that were killed in Israel. 2000 might not be enough because if you total the entire deaths on Israeli side of the war I think it was 67 or so. That would be about 23 Palestinians for every Israeli. Thank God for the USA because Israel could definitely be in danger even if Hamas doesnt have a military per se. The do have those old Russian rifles and a few rocket launchers.

So, in your opinion, attack tunnels are fine until they cause death?

You must work for the highway department. Same way they decide if you deserve a stop sign. How many deaths at that intersection? Sufficient deaths in a 12 month period, then you earned a sign.

How many deaths do you require to deem a tunnel not OK?

    • saburo

Have you ever heard of the Warsaw rebellion? Jews being persecuted in Warsaw Poland during WWII used tunnels to fight the Germans. Sound familiar?

    • saburo

Here are some accounts of Jews using bunkers and tunnels during WWII during the Warsaw Uprising. Similarly, they used the tunnels for supplies and warfare against the Germans. This is an account from survivors:

"Hundreds of bunkers were dug in the central ghetto, fitted with bunks and tunnels that supplied food and medicine. Some of the hiding places were even connected to the electricity system and the municipal sewage to enable their use over long periods of time.

Almost every Jew in the area found an "address" for himself and his dear ones in one of the underground shelters. It is no exaggeration to state that the network of cells and tunnels resembled a subterranean Jewish city.Israel Gutman, The Jews of Warsaw 1939-1945

After the first few days of fighting had elapsed, the Jewish combatants took refuge in bunkers and tunnels from which they would launch attacks and raids on German units. Most of the Jewish fighters did not view their actions as an effective measure by which to save themselves, but rather as a battle for the honor of the Jewish people, and a protest against the world's silence. Those who succeeded in escaping the burning ghetto continued their struggle on the Aryan side of the city or in the ranks of the partisans. Many of the Jewish fighters were killed in action, among them Mordechai Anielewicz, commander of the Jewish Fighting Organization, who was killed in a tunnel on 18 Mila Street, and Paweł Frenkel, commander of the Jewish Military Union, who was killed on the Aryan side of Warsaw.

So it appears Jews used tunnels for both supplying needed food and medicine, flour and weapons. They also used them to attack the Germans at every opportunity. This is the nature of war on a suppressed people.

    • http://www.esmaali.com Esma Ali

Who is real threat here? Ask this Christian couple:

  • TPM

I wonder how many millions of those dollars (used by HAMAS terrorists to build tunnels) were donated by the Obama Administration?
Our Muslim in Chief is always looking for a "shovel ready" project to support Islamic extremists

    • saburo

Not sure but I do know we (USA) have given $100 billion to Israel so they can wipe those people off the planet as Israel and we Americans want. Obama just gave them another $228 million for that Iron Dome thing. It worked I guess but the last time they were at war only 3 Israeli civilians were killed before Iron Dome. Those dome rockets cost about $30,00 each so I hope its worth our tax dollars. I know the other weapons we supplied to Israel are doing good job for the Israelis. Just because those people don't have any weapons except some old rifles and bottle rockets doesn't mean we shouldn't kill all those babies and women. Are you in agreement?

More than 8,000 missiles of which 4,000 were fired from school ground, hospitals and mosques. What is Israel going to just let them do it? Ya, Hama is the ones that are on the right side. If they had more powerful weapons they would have used them.
THEY SEEK THE TOTAL DESTRUCTION OF ISRAEL AND TEACH THEIR CHILDREN TO HATE AND KILL. http://youtu.be/R_K2_0elIqs, http://youtu.be/MSL0sMKGlY8 Disney even sued them for using Mickey Mouse.
Ya, they are the good guys.. If Hamas was the good guys then why don't they use their money and power to build a better future than to insure their own demise? ISRAEL gave back both the Sinai, bigger than Israel itself and Gaza,. Name me one country that ever did anything like this to help create peace?

The beautiful farms that the Israelis left in Gaza were destroyed because they were JEWISH. Any smart people, not overwhelmed by hatred, would have loved to have these wonderful gardens. They are the ones who are sinking their own boat and blow up their own bridges..

    • saburo

zagozana: Are you saying Palestinians have no right to defend themselves, only Israel? I ask you, who is the occupier and who is occupied? Are you saying it's legal for IDF army to go into Gaza but the defending militia in Palestine do not legally have the right to go into Israel? It's already an asymmetrical war in terms of power and money. It's like shooting fish in a fish bowl. The problem is the Israelis are oppressing "native" arabs in their own land. Now I know that you would be the first to defend your home, the land of your family for centuries. Can you imagine someone, some foreign military coming to your land and taking your property and killing your family members and not resisting? Do you think you would teach your kids to fight for their freedom and their land? I just don't get it. Please answer why it's ok to occupy and suppress Palestinians in their own land. When do you think they should give them their freedom? Why is it ok to corral the people of Palestine and watch every move, block all access to the outside world, ration food and medical supplies, limit travel to family and friends. Burn their olive trees...and on and on. I am married to a Jew and there are many Jews who are against what the Zionist are doing to these people. I find it ironic that so many say that Hamas is intent on destroying Israel when in fact the only people being destroyed slowly but surely are the indigenous arabs in Palestine. Before the Zionist movement at the start of the last century, a small population of Jews and Christians lived among the Arab majority for years side by side. That all changed with the "British Mandate for Palestine" and the "Balfour Declaration" (look them up). The British gave to green light to allow Zionist Jews who were spread all over the world including Russia, Germany, Poland, Africa, etc., to 'immigrate" to "Palestine". Arabs were accepting until the Jewish Immigrants started to populate in large numbers and conflicts began. Zionist were organized and planned the eventual take over of all of Palestine as their "Homeland". Arabs fought with Jewish immigrants thru the 1920's—1940's and when the British stopped the influx of Jews to Palestine, the Zionist targeted the British too. This is all facts. Jewish terror groups called the Irgun and the stern gang attacked the British by bombings and covert operations. They bombed the King David Hotel in Jerusalem killing 87 British and a few foreigners. The British got out in 1947, the UN partitioned Palestine giving the minority of Jews most of the good lands and Arab Palestinians the West Bank and Gaza. It's been a conflict ever since. Israel has no intention of allowing a Palestinian State because beneath their words of peace they will keep annexing the West Bank, slowly folding it into Israel land and eventually they hope the Arabs will leave. This is documented from the 1930s' in statements by David Ben-Gurion who masterminded the plan. So recognize the State of Israel and it's not going away. However, occupation is brutal and cruel to people who lived on this land for a much longer time than the Jews. Check it out if you care. Like most who are supporters of the State of Israel, you will not listen to me. However, what is happening is ultimately very bad for Israel and the Middle East as a whole.
