Barack Obama: "We are Remaking the Courts"

At a fundraiser on Wednesday evening in Texas, Barack Obama said that his administration is "remaking the courts." However, one has to be very skeptical about Obama’s motives in remaking the courts since he has an obvious agenda to push. We should ask Obama what is he remaking the courts into? Josh Lederman, White House reporter for the Associated Press, tweeted out the comment on Thursday.

According to the transcript at WhiteHouse.gov, Lederman is correct:

We were able to reform our financial system so that the likelihood of taxpayer-funded bailouts is a lot less than it was. We were able to expand funding for youn

g people going to college. We were able to expand national service for young people who want to serve. We fought long and hard for consumer protections that weren't there before.

As Lisa mentioned, we are remaking the courts. I know that we've got some lawyers here, and here in Texas sometimes people feel a little frustrated about the pace of appointments here in Texas. But you should know that in addition to the Supreme Court, we've been able to nominate and confirm judges of extraordinary quality all across the country on federal benches. We're actually, when it comes to the district court, matching the pace of previous Presidents. When it comes to the appellate court, we're just a little bit behind, and we're just going to keep on focused on it.

Remember all that talk about "fundamentally transforming America"?

Obama's claim came in the middle of talking about reform of the financial system (ie. Campaign payoffs), expanding funding for college (ie. Helping to shackle a debt burden to young people), expanding national service (ie. Helping young people become comfortable working for Big Government), and expanding consumer protections (ie. Providing shakedowns of private businesses).

800px-CourtroomWhat exactly does Obama mean about remaking the courts? According to his own statements he is telling us how it is being accomplished. It's been through nomination and confirmation. Seems legitimate, right? The question is, what kind of judges is he nominating and why?

Understand that we have had many Republicans siding with this administration in confirming his nominations. At the Supreme Court level, we've seen Obama's appointments of radical lesbian Elena Kagan, who queerified Harvard (and honestly I think looks like a man in drag), and Sonia Sotomayor, an activist judge who was also in the same Third World Center as Michelle Obama at Harvard.

That is just at the federal level. If Obama is nominating such people to the top court in the land, who do you think he is nominating in lower courts?

So far, Barack Obama has had confirmed 38 Circuit Court of Appeals judges and 162 District Court judges.

Just last week Obama's replacement nomination of a Republican-named judge would tip the scales of federal judges in the Democrats' favor.

"It is an important milestone," says Kathryn Ruemmler, the White House counsel. "It is a good indicator that the president is making his mark on the courts."

"The impact that the president can have on the federal judiciary is perhaps the single-most important legacy issue for any president," says Doug Kendall, president of the Constitutional Accountability Center, a liberal advocacy group.

Furthermore the DC Circuit Court, the nation's second most powerful court, with vast jurisdiction over federal agencies and regulations, has eight judges, which are split between Republicans and Democrats has three open vacancies which Obama has made nominations for, but Republicans have blocked. The latest nominee blocked was Patricia Ann Millett, who has argued the second most cases before the Supreme Court among female litigants.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said there wasn't a need to put more judges on the DC court since it has six "senior" judges that serve part-time. Five of those were appointed by Republican presidents.

McConnell states what the real objective in appointing new judges is all about. "The reason they want to put more judges on the D.C. Circuit is not because it needs them." He then quoted an administration ally who had acknowledged "the president's best hope for advancing his agenda is through executive action, and that runs through the D.C. Circuit."

See? This isn't about good judges or upholding law. It's about advancing an agenda. Barack Obama's agenda is a total transformation of the United States. He's actually been right on course with his agenda. The question is will those that claim they oppose his agenda actually stand up and do so, or will they roll over and allow him to do it without a fight simply because they are in the minority? I'll let the reader decide.

When he says he is remaking the courts, he started 3 years ago with the supreme court. Two justices that lean left, their decisions are primarily party line, and one even failed to recuse herself, knowing that she was involved with the obamacare constitutional arguments. He has also got a lot of Federal circuit and district courts leaning left, the worst thing is the Attorney General who uses the office to intimidate and restrain.

WE THE PEOPLE are AMERICANS, believe in the CONSTITUTION AND GOD....WE THE PEOPLE are not muslims.....therefore these laws can be used for ________________.

If you like your courts you can keep your courts, PERIOD!! we all know how this ends.

  • f8tule

And once again.. WE THE PEOPLE are going to do NOTHING!!!

I do believe that in these statements, Obama has admitted that he committed treason….he committed unconstitutional acts against the people of the United States. He IS fundamentally changing America but not in a good way, in a treasonous way, to some socialist, communist, Marxist country!!! Wake up people, although it may be too late already - and Obama has another 3 years to make his wishes come true!!!

  • Robert

So he publicly admits to another act of Treason. By placing john sorros puppets on what used to be the supreme court bench. Now it's just another communist mouth piece that IGNORES THE US CONSTITUTION.

Wake up America you won't like Communism

I would advocate removing the entire Federal judiciary, and replacing them ALL with strict-construction, original-intent, judicial-restraint adherents that Robert Bork would be proud of.

I think on ofObama's "legacies" will be the politicization of the courts as never before, where they are seen as little more than a repository of cheap political hacks -- even the Supreme Court after Kagan and Sotomayor.

What we need is for Governors to show some cojones and, where appropriate, ignore the federal courts.

There is no way to remove Obama from office. All we can do is choose someone who is electable and oppose Hillary's attempt to follow Obama into the White House. Many of the Clinton's former friends have been found dead in an alarming series of "accidents" and "suicides". The Clintons must not be allowed to re-enter the White House. They are VERY dangerous people.

Everyone should watch this vieo to see what Obama is really up to, he and the democrats. You might not be able to watch the whole thing. It is disturbing. Very much. I couldn't watch all the way through.

To understand why Obama is doing what he is, please watch this video:

Gosh, I sure am glad sooo many self-righteous conservatives chose to stay home and not vote in 2012. I can hardly wait for America to be transformed into the neo-fascist, collectivist, totalitarian police state that the lying, "gay", Indonesian Muslim you allowed to usurp the presidency, and his co-conspirators - read, Democrats - have just about created for us. NOT!

This person should never be allowed to change anything written into our Constitution and he should be stopped by Congress. However the democrats and Harry Reid will support him while he is decimating our Country. They have managed to turn every bill, written by the House which would control what Obama can do, into trash and it goes into the trash can. This must stop.

  • librtyship

The Demos said they would drain the swamp that is Washington D.C., however they have had a change of heart and decided to turn the whole country into a sewage lagoon!

  • Lloydl333

I am questioning the sanity of people who insist on defending the actions of this President. He is a traitor to this country and the trust of the people of the United States.

  • sovereigntyofone

Okay, let me get this right. Obama says " we are remaking the courts ", Obama signed the NDAA, Obama forced the (un) Affordable healthcare act (tax ) upon us (giving the government access to our most intimate private information). We have the NSA spying on every thing we do, write, or talk about. How are these changes to the courts apply to WE THE PEOPLE. I have a guess. You are guilty but we haven't caught you as yet, but we will.
You are guilty until we say other wise.
    Just my 2 cents worth.

If the Judicial System, especially the Supreme Court, become predominately Liberal and Progressive we can all say Bye, Bye to the Constitution that is already under great stress by the Left Wing Progressives. The Court Sytem is the watchdog of all our civil liberties, once that is gone what hope is there.
