Our Constitution limited the government from making laws prohibiting the freedom of speech; that is part of the First Amendment. Political correctness would have freedom of speech eradicated through social pressure and intimidation through many tactics, including name calling and having good little followers positioned throughout social network companies to "ban" individual from their site if their speech is inappropriate.
It seems the individuals who are responsible for Facebook banned the administrators of the page "Truckers to Shut Down America." According to a recent post, the admins were banned for using, "God Bless American."
The post states:
"Benn and I are back we have been in FB jail for saying God Bless America so from now on we will give you Godspeed. The FB community does not like the other. Are you all ready to Ride for The Constitution? This is a perfect example of things to come...."
Another post states, "Hey everybody, be careful what you say! The commies hate for us to bless God! Are you going to sit down and shut up? Are you going to be good little commies?"
None of this has stopped the continued outpouring of support for this ride and posters are now using "God Bless America" even more. The event has garnered a massive amount of attention and new developments have occurred.
The sojourn to Washington is now being called "Ride for the Constitution" and a new web page has been established: ridefortheconstitution.org.
When you visit the site, you can read some words from the organizer, Zeeda Andrews, entitled "The Will of the People." This is more than just about the massive amount of regulations aimed at the trucking industry. Zeeda cites the problem as unconstitutional government by representatives who have failed to honor their oath of office to protect, defend and uphold the Constitution. There are episodes of The Pete Santilli Show, courtesy of Guerilla Media Network, for your listening pleasure. You can sign up as a user on the site to leave comments indicating if you are going on the ride and if you need fuel.
Many individuals have asked for the reasons behind the "Ride for the Constitution" and the site delivers. A document is posted that provides information regarding "Ride for the US Constitution" detailing who, what, when, where, how and why. The "why" section lists numerous reasons for the ride including our government supporting Al Qaeda, Obama committing crimes while in office, representatives allowing the NDAA to become law, the tearing apart of our Constitution, use of executive orders by Obama to run the country, and answer to the scandals and cover-ups plaguing this country.
In order to provide more information, I contacted Zeeda by email. This march to DC is not just for truckers; it is for all Americans who are tired of overreaching government. Zeeda also indicated that light trucks, cars and SUVs are welcome to participate by falling in behind the trucker convoy. She sees all of this as an issue for America. Pete Santilli, host of the Pete Santilli Show on Guerilla Media Network, is offering Zeeda a spot on the radio every evening. She has invited me to stop in for a talk on her show, which I am looking forward to speaking live with her. We have yet to iron out the details, but I hope everyone listens to Zeeda on the show as she interviews and talks with the trucking community and others.
While there are many "Debbie Downers" and "Nicholas Naysayers" regarding this journey to DC for three days by members of the trucking community and other concerned citizens, there are those who support a peaceful protest for a redress of grievances. Skepticism regarding this event is understood and so are the questions that abound.
Over 230 years ago, a few group of men got together and questioned the actions of the government under which they lived. In a glorious historical moment, they drafted a document upon which started the foundation of a country. One of the most important phrases in that document is as follows:
"But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their future security …."
You can bet there were individuals then who had questions, doubts and fears. You can also bet there were those who worried about the outcome should they fail. You can surmise there were many who suffered. The question you must ask yourself is "Can you imagine living any other way than free?"
American citizens are witness to executive, judicial and legislative usurpations – one in the form of Obamacare. The creation of unconstitutional agencies has not subsided but actually increased. Government agencies have violated and continue to violate the Constitution and encroach on every individual's God-given rights. Our country is not being protected from invasion by terrorists or illegal immigrants. Members of Congress actually encourage certain government agencies not to enforce certain laws. Everyone in this country bears witness to this, and it is the right and duty of every citizen to demand this government follow the law of the land – The US Constitution. This is a moral responsibility, a God-given duty and an obligation we owe to those who fought for freedom and died to establish our country, those who fought and died to maintain our freedom and this country, those who continue to do so and our posterity, not to mention ourselves.
We have a God-given right to peacefully assemble and have a redress of our grievances. A large number of Americans are willing to pause their livelihood on behalf of all Americans. We can sit on the sidelines being armchair politicians and try to get by the best way we can in an ever shrinking amount of freedom. Or, we can stand together as one united voice against the eradication of our God-given rights and the trashing of the Constitution. Regardless of anyone's religious affiliation, political viewpoints or social standing, we all have one thing in common – freedom. When freedom is lost, there will be nothing then that will seem as important or more difficult to reclaim.
