Why Did Kim Jong-un Execute A Former Girlfriend and 11 Others?

North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is an unhinged maniac. He executed a former girlfriend and 11 others by firing squad. The claim was they were distributing pornography. The truth is they had Bibles in their possession.

Kim Jong un is a monster. Just like his father before him, Kim Jong Il, he is following the exact same path. North Korea is abysmal, one of the worst places on earth to have to live. The atrocities committed by Kim Jong un are too great to mention. Food shortages, torture, famine, and heinous executions are the norm in the dire country that is North Korea.

Kim-Jong-Un-is-amusement-park-AFPBut when it comes to persecution, there is no country on earth with a worse track record for persecuting Christians than North Korea. This includes Iran, Syria, and all other Islamic countries. And also China an Russia, who have horrific human rights records.

To prove how steadfast and brutal the persecution is against Christians, Kim Jong-un reportedly had an ex-girlfriend executed by firing squad. In a brutal attack that also included 11 other persons, the vile dictator showed his merciless intolerance for anything Christian. The report from North Korea was that the ex-girlfriend, named Hyon Song-wol, a North Korean pop star, and the others were executed for violating the country's strict policies regarding "pornography."

If having a Bible on your person is considered violating laws of pornography, then this is almost rational. But this is hardly accurate. They were detained after being "accused of making videos of themselves performing sex acts and then selling the recordings." But yet, they also had Bibles. Which reason seems the most logical?

Christianity is a threat to a fascist dictator. And in the case of North Korea, "Christians are classified as hostile and face arrest, detention, torture, even public execution." They represent open rebellion against a totalitarian regime, and especially to a leader who demands the same reverence as a god.

Hyon Song-wol

Hyon Song-wol

Kim Jong-un committed the ultimate atrocity in viciously executing Hyon, his ex-girlfriend of ten years. There is another theory that Jong-un's wife, Ri Sol-ju, convinced him to execute her out of spite. She was also a member of Hyon's band at one point, and was threatened by their relationship.

But this scenario seems unlikely. Considering twelve people were executed, the likely reasoning would be that they were considered "political dissidents" because of their possession of Bibles. The persecution of Christians is growing daily in all parts of the world. In North Korea, it is a singular constant and it raises few eyebrows. But worldwide, Christian martyrs are receiving less attention than ever before. The hatred for Christians is growing stronger and the media ignores the reality of its existence. But the media is not on the side of Christians, so it gets no coverage.

In the case of Hyon and the others who were brutally murdered, “They were executed with machine guns while the key members of the Unhasu Orchestra, Wangjaesan Light Band and Moranbong Band as well as the families of the victims looked on,” said a Chinese source reported in the newspaper.

It is hard to imagine the horror of being forced to watch an execution in this manner. The report stated that, "The onlookers were then sent to prison camps, victims of the regime's assumption of guilt by association."

Kim Jong-un had Hyon and eleven others killed because they had Bibles. There is no other reason. This alone would explain the atrocity of the killings and the viciousness with which the executions were committed. And also the imprisonment of those associated with them. Given North Korea's extreme persecution of Christians, this is the only plausible explanation. Hyon Song-wol and the 11 died as martyrs for the faith. They paid the ultimate price for Christ. And for that they will surely receive the Crown of Life for their suffering.

  1. I am no fan if North Korea however to suggest that people were executed because they were Christians just because they had bibles on them is absurd. I do not believe that any of the points brought up in this article had any proof other than the fact that you feel defensive because you are christian. I cannot understand why, if they say they were executed for pornography, why you doubt it, Pop stars here do it all the time. Have you ever heard of lindsay lohan?

  2. Very poorly written. And that Crown of Life
    bit was just creepy.

But I still agree with 98% of what you
said. I just wish you didn’t repeat yourself so much. Also try doing a YouTube,
search on (Atheist Kicked Off Fox News) sometime. It’s wrong to say the media doesn't
    have Christianity’s back.

The United Nations focuses on Zimmerman shooting Martin, yet has nothing to say about how this North Korean maniac runs his country.

All dictators I have ever seen are really little men who have a need to make the people think they are really big. Obama fits right in with the whole lot.

negroe rodman loves this guy. go figure. I've never been racist, yet all other races are pushing me to it. White power......again.

  9. It is curious to me that 70 years after Hitler, the mentality has changed SO MUCH in favor of the Liberal agenda, that there isn't constant talk and planning of disposing KJU, and finally freeing North Korea. Their people suffer so much, they are dying of starvation, and the only way they find to survive is being able to serve in the military. It seems the only way anyone would lift a finger to help is if the North Koreans tried to invade China...if they tried to over take South Korea or Japan, the world would simply turn a blind eye.

Pornography? Sounds like Kim was mad that he didn't get any from her due to her Christian faith and now is trying to get back at her for it.

Horrible country and forever an enemy of humanity... that place needs to be ended with the utmost urgency and made into a parking lot.

    • that place needs to be ended with the utmost urgency and made into a parking lot.

      How Christian of you.

    • William Wallace says:

Why don't you tell me what I mean exactly and also what's your suggestion on North Korea?

    • Well William, North Korea happens to be populated by tens of millions of human beings. Your suggestion that the country be transformed into a parking lot doesn't bode particularly well for their survival. I hadn't realized that genocide was one the key principles of the Gospels.

My suggestions as for what's in the best interest of North Koreans? I can assure you that a US cruise missile attack is not among them.

  12. Makes me think of Henry the 8th. She probably had a photo of his tiny weeny

  13. She took him into the bathroom and showed him just how small he really is.

  14. Of course he killed them. He is a dictator. But IF the minions who follow, support and live off of his power would stand up to him, he would be gone IN A FLASH.

If that's the case I have sent bibles to friends in North Korea, all my friends would be dead? but I am still in contact with them?, pornography is different anyone viewing or having material I have been told that they get sent to prison camps for this because it damages the family unit and corrupts the minds of men to look at women as objects.

  16. I am saddened by this. However, the more a government tries to squelch Christianity, the more it grows. At least these now rest in the arms of the Savior of the world as martyrs. God help me to be able to face such persecution should I ever face it.

  17. "Christians are classified as hostile...they represent open rebellion against a totalitarian regime". Hmm, where have we heard this before?

  18. why peoples give shyts for them

  19. The Huff Post said it was for a sex tape, so I'm inclined to believe this is all about Bibles. This is just too heinous. And given the perilous times we live in, it fits.

  20. When this story broke, it was hard for me to digest the horror of what these beautiful young lives and their families who were made to watch suffered. The perilous times spoken of in 2 TIM 3 are here. Christians are being murdered all over the world giving us warning that these are the last days of this generation, and the Lord's clock is winding down 0 hour.

    • Kalli, I agree 100 percent.

    • Lets look back at Clinton's war in Kosovo, where he supported the KLA, Narco Marxist terrorists. I believe Kosovo was part of the former Yugoslavia that erupted into ethnic cleansing and civil war, after Tito's death. Just like what will happen here in America, if Leftists are successful in giving amnesty to 50 million "undocumented Democrat" voters. I fear for my grand children and great grand children.

After the war was over in Kosovo, Christian churches that were many centuries old, were burned, or turned into mosques.

    • If they had Bibles, they MAY have had Jesus in their lives. Then they did NOT LOSE. They won.
"God's ways are nor our ways." Remember, it is in dying that we live, it is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned. It is in forgiving that we are forgiven.
And those who die in Christ are ALIVE for eternity.
