White House Approves Deal: Congress And Staff Exempt From Obamacare

It becomes harder and harder each day to control the anger that reverberates within my being at the continued audacity of this administration. If you ever wondered what medieval England was like, you have to look no further than the perks and exemptions given to the ruling class – Obama administration and Congress. According to Market Watch and reiterated on the Gateway Pundit, Barack Obama has approved a plan to exempt Congress and their staff from Obamacare.

Both sites reported as follows:

The White House has approved a deal that will exempt members of Congress and their staff from some of the provisions of the Affordable Care Act, Politico reported late Thursday. Under the law, popularly referred to as Obamacare, lawmakers and their aides were required to source health insurance "created" by the law or offered through one of its exchanges, and without the subsidies they currently enjoy, the members of Congress would have faced thousands of dollars in additional premium payments each year, the report said. However, the Office of Personnel Management now plans to rule that the government can continue to make a contribution to the health-care premiums of the lawmakers and their staff, it said, citing unnamed congressional sources and a White House official.

This abomination has been shoved down the throats of the American public and touted as the best thing since slice bread, but Congress wants no part of it so they hollered and their "king" responded by granting them their desire. The "serf" population of America will have to suffer through, getting by the best way they can, possible sustaining fines because of the plans being unaffordable. But, you can bet your bottom dollar, Congress, secure in its "noble" standing, will be spared any inconvenience or additional premium payments. The motto is, "what's good for the goose, is not good for the gander as the gander is better than the goose."

The comparison to medieval England is only in reference to the way the population of America is treated versus the federal government in Washington, DC. But, for all our advances in technology, education and economics, the tendency of some to revert to the antiquated idea of "nobility and serfdom" surfaces daily through news articles. Some news reports still contribute "riots and protests" outside American embassies on September 11, 2012 to an anti-islam video produced by an American resident, while reporting the closure of the US embassies in the Middle East and Asia due to security threats. The IRS has continued its abuses and targeting of conservative groups in the midst of a Congressional investigation. Then, there is Benghazi, Fast and Furious, and a partridge in a pear tree variety of blatant disregard for the Constitution. Aided by the "court jesters" known as the American mainstream media, the true nature of violations are covered and watered down.

There has been no accountability or anyone held responsible for the numerous scandals plaguing this administration. In the days of kings and nobles, they would not dare consider themselves accountable to those they consider beneath them. Treason was what they considered it to be on a whim. Laws enacted to serve themselves better while suppressing and oppressing the subjects they ruled. Granted, their "poor" supporters might have been treated better. Those opposed to the ruling elite were terrorized, imprisoned and often eradicated. One only has to look at the recent past to see evidence of this nature, but this did not surface under monarchical rule, but under the guise of governments that purported to "help" their people attain a better social standing.

Do you see the similarities yet? The government has no intention of holding any one of their own accountable. That is unthinkable. American citizens are viewed as nothing to them, insignificant pawns to be discarded as easily as one removes a pebble from their shoe or flicks a bug from their arm; we hold no power and certainly are not deserving of any truth or knowledge regarding any business they conduct. They have plenty of pawns in the form of leftists and progressives who are their blind supporters hoping to receive some modest gesture of favoritism to avoid punishment. The pawns are there to help silence "dissent" by using any means necessary. After all, who are "we" to question a "king?"

In the times of medieval kings, it was thought kings were ordained by God. The "king wannabe" sitting in the Oval Office was ordained by something, but it sure as h*** wasn't God.

While there are some in Congress who are trying to speak out and act as kind "nobles" protecting their charges as some did in those olden days, those individuals are being quickly squashed by the elder more "seasoned" veterans in hopes to attain their secret endeavor before the pot boils over. And the pot will boil over but it may be too late.

Even though the Constitution prohibits the granting of any title of nobility, it has become obvious the government has basically appointed themselves, ever so silently, as nobility in this country. They feed their "pawns" and "serfs" a diet of arsenic-laden fodder – some are choking on it while some are lapping it up. It becomes more disgusting, distasteful and arrogant daily. Yes, I'm angry.

I keep asking myself, "How many of us are there who are sick of this mess?" and "When is enough going to be enough?"

This is happening partly because Congress and staff want a coverage plan that allows them to smoke wit no penalties - no kidding.

Under the AHCA smoking is reason enough to deny you health care! - even very little smoking and providers can refuse you coverage

    Query the Web

"are smokers barred from AHCA coverage?"

That's right folks the Auto industry and Big oil are determined to gain a little more time financing the lobbying that insists that its tobacco smoke which is so dangerous while ensuring that no one looks into the Benzene in exhaust emissions.

(Lefties and many liberal Christians are so stupid they have been used as useful idiots on this canard for decades - just to prove how people can be duped)

Elected congressmen and senators know better so their coverage will allow them to smoke.

Once they could sell the Tobacco story - Social engineers/ Community organizers, knew anything could be packaged and sold.

(never had a cigarette in my life - just hate the politically correct BS)

The laws are for us only, their "CASH COWS", THEIR TAX SLAVES,but you can blame the blind followers of the Democrats who never studied the evolution of thier SOCIALIST AGENDA.
FOLLOW THE MONEY and the ENTITLEMENTS AND YOU WILL SEE WHO WILL BE IN POWER. Pretty soon this country's destiny will be at the hands of the un-educated voters base of the Democrats that is why they are pushing for immigration blanket amnesty to hold on to THEIR power forever. They do not realize the danger of such an action, because there won't be any SCREENING process and that will include dangerous terrorists that are already here poised to attack us. Legal immigrants are strictly screened from their point of origin before they are given any visa and it takes years, sometimes over 10 years for the process to be approved by INS. I am not talking about the good people that just came in to work, and who are currently working on our farms. I am talking about the bad elements coming from certain parts of the world that are here, who came in on visitor's visas, and over-stayed to form their terrorist "shells". This is how UK got their problem now. Call your reps. in DC to have some common sense and abide by the laws of the land and not act for their PERSONAL AGGRANDIZEMENT OR FOR THEIR PARTY'S GREED FOR EVERLASTING POWER.May God bless America with WISDOM.

There won't be any accountability until the uninformed citizenry are educated on the truth, which the PAID AND BIASED MAINSTREAM MEDIA WILL NEVER DO. greed OF POWER, GREED OF MONEY

Democrats do not care how many people they hurt with this law. That has always been true. Creating a new caste of workers loyal to them is part of the process.

  • ontoiran

if they don't have to abide by it, neither do we

  • Mary Martin McDonald

I think if they pass laws they should be mandatory for elected and appointed afficials

Congress is still putting themselves above the economic safety of the people. This is another attempt they are using to insure their position in the government. It is time for the people to bring out a copy of the declaration of independence and forward it to Congress, to The Supreme Court and to the president to reiterate its content and the position that the American colonist took to state their intent. Well it is time to let our (not their )
representatives know that the good old boys (both sides) have had enough time in Washington. Recall efforts must be put forth in all states to remove all that approved this action are replaced with the peoples representatives and not big government's and money's. We have paid long enough for oppressive bureaucracy and big government, now we need representation. Socialistic tyranny must be squashed and freedom restored.

It's either 'We ALL do this,' or NONE OF US IS BOUND to do this.'

Nothing makes me more righteously angry, than a class of undeserving dogs, electing themselves to their own pseudo-aristocracy. At least the older aristocracy was taught that 'noblesse oblige' - TRUE nobility were OBLIGED to help their fellow man. These elected MAFIOSI are no more than CRIMINALS in SUITS.

Can't help but wonder. Could we check the legality of this in the supreme court . . . or they also exempt from Obumacare. Voters Unite . . .let's vote every incumbent out of office. Have a tax revolt until ALL Americans are created equally. Get the message across, they are in office at our convenience to REPRESENT US . . . NOT THEMSELVES. Make their retirement pay to be what they contribute to their fund, from their pay . . . just like the rest of us. Get the message across we're not Serfs and they're not Kings.

Congress must pay for their health care. Same as the rest of us.
I have already lost part of what I worked for.
    Thanks, Obama

The "author" of this "article" offers another article that appeared in two other outlets which is supposed to support her claim in the headline. However, she either never read the article she points to, or doesn't understand simple English. That article describes the fact that the members of congress and their staffs will have the cost of coverage under the exchanges created by Obamacare paid by the government as a part of their employment compensation...just as they have currently. It does NOT say anything about those people being "exempt" from Obamacare. In fact, this arrangement is no different than that provided by a large number of private companies, especially to their executives. So, we may not like the fact that our congresspeople and their staffs get free health care coverage (paid by us taxpayers), but good luck getting them to change that.

In order for a "law" to actually "BE LAW" ... it MUST apply equally to all.
By LAW, Congress cannot "exempt" themselves from any "law" they burden WE THE PEOPLE with.
Read the Constitution - arm-up - defend and restore our nation.

  • darlingrats

Double standard bull crapola from our elected ones that are SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT WE THE PEOPLE. Vote them out or expect even worse.

  • poptoy1949

    Vote them OUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Period.......

A tax sequestered in the dead of night in a back room where only liberal democrats gathered to give birth to a bill that penalizes all Americans for no just cause. This is a tax bill with 23 new taxes with a sidebar death panel with no health knowledge deciding who will have and who will have not. Touted as a fine bill and worthy of congress they exempt themselves but hook the people with this deadbeat bill. Only liberal democrats approved this so they should be the 2014 target of We the People. Certainly rhino republicans need voted out as fence straddler's are not acceptable. You are either with us or you are against us. This fine affordable health care act is about control of the people and not anything else. Those fine individuals that are paid by the tax payer to shove such poor legislation down the throat of Americans are traitors. At least Benedict Arnold was out in front and left no guess work like politicians do as to who's side they are on but as a people we pretty much have a good picture of the situation. I hope we can gather to act on it. I have had enough. When.
