Global Warming: The Lie That Just Won't Stop

I was actually thinking of calling this one something else like, "Is Dennis Rodman The New Jane Fonda?" Let's take a leap into the realm of insanity once again, why don't we? As Dennis Rodman makes himself the new best "bud" of Kim Jong Un of North Korea, our next champion of international verbal gymnastics is the Chief of Armed Services in the Pacific Region. (If you are a member of the armed services who has taken that job in order to preserve the security of the United States, this post is not about you.)

The story is related below and was given to me by my friend at Asylum Watch.

Navy Admiral Samuel J. Locklear III, in an interview at a Cambridge hotel Friday after he met with scholars at Harvard and Tufts universities, said significant upheaval related to the warming planet “is probably the most likely thing that is going to happen . . . that will cripple the security environment, probably more likely than the other scenarios we all often talk about.’’ …

“The ice is melting and sea is getting higher,” Locklear said, noting that 80 percent of the world’s population lives within 200 miles of the coast. “I’m into the consequence management side of it. I’m not a scientist, but the island of Tarawa in Kiribati, they’re contemplating moving their entire population to another country because [it] is not going to exist anymore.”

The giant hoax of Global Warming evidently is more appealing to our armed services leaders than actually fighting off armed enemies of the United States. Think about that. Which would you rather attempt to fight? The North Koreans with nuclear weapons? Or rising seas? The terrorists strapping bombs to children? Or the global temperatures? When you fight actual enemies, you have to train people to kill or be killed. But when you fight global temperatures, all you have to do is make sure your ships are using biofuels. Seems like a no-brainer to me. Pick the least difficult path and get paid to purport a ridiculous lie seems to be the choice du jour.

Doesn't this make you feel so much safer? Kim Jong Un threatens the safety and security of our allies in South Korea and Japan, and even threatens to send nuclear cruise missiles to the U.S. and yet, our illustrious Navy Admiral Locklear III believes our greatest threat from the Pacific region is Global Warming?

Meanwhile, in the name of Truth and Science, here is a report from Steven Goddard on the World's Hottest Temperature Report from NOAA documents. Note this NOAA document cites the year 1913, well before the doomsayers decided it was cool to blame the civilized world for warming the planet, and well before the increased use of fossil fuels to drive industry and prosperity.

For some honest TRUTH about the lies of Anthropogenic Global Warming, go to Climate Depot. The world's climate changes over time and has done so since creation. The world is not hotter now, nor is it even close to being hotter than it has been in past centuries. To use climate as an excuse to control people with government power is a very clever and evil construction. This is a top down lie from people who do know what they are doing to people, and all too happy to do it. The drivers of this lie / HOAX are laughing all the way to the bank.

Meanwhile, Dennis Rodman is planning to use a lot of carbon to take a vacation with the latest dictator of North Korea. Do you think the arbiters of Climate Change should stop him? You know, the U.S. Navy might find that flight to North Korea a security threat, not because of who Rodman is vacationing with, but because he is "warming" the planet? Gee, let's ponder that for a while.

Maybe you should stick to your art instead of writing about something you scientifically know nothing about

How do they explain the previous warming periods when the ice caps were all melted and the oceans covered much of the land now dry? There were NO people whatsoever during these to cause ANY man-made pollution! Likewise during the ice-ages, the FEW humans about SHOULD have increased the world temperature, if man-made pollution is truly as effective as the 'sky is falling' types claim!

  • gingercake5

Found that "Greenland Ranch" is in Death Valley, the hottest place in the U.S. Interesting that it was 5 straight days over 129 degrees F, in the year 1913. AGW enthusiasts can't explain the large gaps of time between temperature spikes.

....If they keep with the lie, they eventually will win. The world is filling up with what Rush Limbaugh calls the low info people. The way they are going, they will control the planet in a few years. Those people believe in Santa and Santa lives in the White House and what Santa says is always true.."nuff said".

From the (predictably liberal) Wikipedia: "The Medieval Warm Period (MWP), Medieval Climate Optimum, or Medieval Climatic Anomaly was a time of warm climate in the North Atlantic region ..."

Or in other words, during a time when coal-fired power plants were NOT belching CO2 into the atmosphere, climate was warm enough to justify calling it "optimum", with Norse Greenland settlements farming cattle, sheep, goats and pigs. Go figure.

Then there's that pesky 17-year "no more warming" trend we are now experiencing, even though those nasty coal-fired plants are STILL providing cheap electricity for millions of Americans and mining-related jobs for hundreds of thousands, directly and indirectly.

Says NASA. Do you know how to do internet research?

    • Tom

      From that article...

"...the fact that some areas of the Southern Ocean are cooling and producing more sea ice does not disprove a warming climate." - 5th paragraph from the bottom

This article merely says the area of Antarctica is growing but could not conclude whether or not the volume was shrinking overall due to no measurements of height not to mention the shrinking of the Arctic ice cap at the opposite pole that far exceeds what a possible gain in the Antarctic would be

Great Pacific Garbage Patch - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

With your kind of thinking I'm sure you'll thing this is natural.

      1) The glaciers are caving because the warming seas are undercutting the ice. Retreating glaciers mean MELTING not expanding... MOON UNIT!...

      2) How do you get this garbage that the icecap is growing when "all" the satellite data disagrees with your silly imaginings... Nincompoop!.

      3) Deforestation destroys the greatest balancing mechanism that nature has for absorbing CO2. Trees are 80% CO2 derived. Trout face...

Obviously you are edumacated in the school of Rush the magic Lint ball.

Science is self correcting because it is peer reviewed. In other words nothing is taken as truth without a serious examination of the facts by those who are working in the field.

Your meandering mentality wants to believe in a G-d that is trying to fool the scientists. You have a G-d as being spiteful and misguiding not profound and ever-enlightening...

When you fell off your tricycle you must have broken your thinking processor... Poopy head...

    • Tom

lol at what does deforestation have to do with CO2

I admire your rebuttals against such scientific ignorance present throughout the article and comments, but i'm afraid that ideas that were not born out of reason (science), cannot be defeated by logic (data) and unfortunately, these guys are stubborn as they come simply regurgitating whatever they hear in the mainstream conservative media.

    About Cheryl Pass
I am a "professional artist" living in North Carolina...??? Talk about qualifications...
Dennis Rodman, Navy Admiral Samuel J. Locklear III and climate change in the same article, really? And you listen to her? Why?

So the horrible pollution in China is a form of prosperity?

    Elton Robb...

The sun has been pretty quite in the last few decades...
Your theory is WRONG or we would not have the warmest climate in thousands of years.
The graphs that shows the increase in human activity mirror these findings.

add enormous quantities of CO2 and now methane, which is even worse,
into the atmosphere at the same time that we destroy the forests that
    absorb it.

Ice cores that go back 400,000 years. We can measure
precisely the composition of the atmosphere including the pollen of the
plants living near by. Oxygen isotopes reflect the activity of the sun
so we know how the sun behaved during all that time. NASA, the European
Space Agency, the Japanese space program amongst others, verify it.

of scientist in the field of climate science agree that humans have
influenced the climate so I'll bet they know more than this then all you
    idiot deniers.

      you people are looney

I suggest you start back in grade school again and get the basic science lessons.

You know the ones that teach about how HOT AS H the world was way back when and it was a steaming boiling mass of molten gooo, and millions of years later it was cooler and the dinosaurs roamed around when it was still really hot and with all the hot humid rain forests that the dinosaurs were eating and stuff like you know.

And how there were soo many cold blooded animals around because it was still soo hot on earth etc.

And now it is like 100's of thousands of years later and we have gone through oh my gosh so many ice ages and hot spells and cooling and heating and now here we are with the age of man and only the last 100 years or so of the industrial revolution and we have it a lot cooler than the dinosaurs did.

And it is way, way cooler than it was way before the dinosaurs.

So, instead of keeping you pin head stuck in this last century or so why don't you enlighten it by starting back in grade school and working your way up to the tough stuff like the sun and the earths interaction with it, and the solar system, and the fields effects more than 95% of our climate activity. And that is a certain DUH if you consider the entire history of our climate.

    • Tom

freedomringsforall... one of the stupidest replies on here. Obviously the planet was hot when it was still a molten planet... it was still being created via meteors smashing into it adding massive amounts of kinetic energy being converted into thermal energies. As far as the warming and cooling patterns go, this is one of the most abused reasons non-science-educated republicans site against anthropogenic global warming, but it is very scientifically inaccurate - If you understood how chemical bonds work, specifically the vibrational and rotational energies of CO2 and CH4, and how they trap infrared radiation given off by the earth, then you would see that the IMMENSE amounts of this stuff that we have been pouring into our atmosphere is going to have horrendous effects specifically driving temperatures up. I think you should be the one going back to grade school and reading a science book rather than blindly blurting out your uneducated opions on the internet, agreeing with someone who has dedicated their lives to art...

    • freedomringsforall

The professionally calculated thousands of years temperature charts show the temperature of the earth has been warmer than now during the history of the earth.

And those charts show the cycles very clearly.

Even the greatest group of scientists trying to prove that man is having a significant effect has had to lie and corrupt their data and research.

You are full of it as usual tom and so are they.

There is not a credible scientist that won't say that the earth started out a hot mass and has been slowly cooling and warming and cooling and warming ever since and will eventually continue to cool down until it goes out as a cold rock if it wasn't for the probability of it being consumed by a dying sun or smashed by some other body or some other catastrophic event .

You are as usual on the wrong side of history, and the issue.

    • Tom

I'm having a hard time understanding how this point is a rebuttal to mine? I agree the earth was hot during its creation and has been going through warming and cooling cycles; nobody will disagree with that, but upon inspection of a CO2 emissions graph and an understanding of green house gas effects it is clear to see that heat is being trapped in the atmosphere at an increasing rate. Also the notion that scientists are being paid off is absurd. Science is an international affair and blatantly lying or falsifying your data would leave you shunned from the scientific community - science is not something that the US government (or any government for that matter) could corrupt.

    • freedomringsforall

anyone reading here can clearly read that I never said anything about scientists getting paid off.

The more lies you say about someone here the sillier you are to all that read here.

United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)

The foremost respected body on climate change.

      Google it.

You will get millions of news reports about their lying and fudging the figures on climate change.

Where have you been for the last 6 or 7 years?

And as far as real science that has been tracing the global temperature for decades without the influence of the current carbon greedy nuts.

well that is the true incorruptible science that you should check out that shows what I was commenting on in my previous comment.

    • Bill von Besser

China is exempt from all forms of carbon taxes and limits on emissions and pollution. You lose. AGW is fake, we knew it was fake, we know it is fake and now that your bubble is bursting, we have front row seats to watch you slip into desperation on the cusp of madness.

    • gbsmitty

You mean 95% of government paid scientists are trying hard not to lose their jobs and are saying what they're told to say. As to the warmest times in 1000's of years, when the grape arbors of Great Britain can once again challenge the products of France, we'll talk about warm. And the company I work for does a little HF radio work. I wish the sun were as quiet as in your dreams. Our system would work more reliably. But well done, Obama-man. Keep the party line and the big lie, a la Goebbels, going.

    • Tom

However, governments cannot produce reproducable data from third party scientists simply by paying off the ones they have on their pay roll as you suggest. But keep letting the media make your decisions for you, Fox-News-man.

    • Zardos

partial facts and unmatched correlations are what statistical fact is all about. Earth goes through cycles. If you think we can change or stop them, you must have an ego larger than the planet..............or as big as Gore, Obama, & Kerry perhaps. Slow down a bit and think about it. Then write something sensible and founded on fact.

  • Ted Madej

With all due respect Ms. Cheryl, I do believe, most of the folks following FREEDOM OUTPOST are really MORE concerned with saving OUR 2nd Amendment than saving the icebergs, of course my priorties may be different than yours and others, no offense meant !

    • scgator2001

Obama and his radical EPA is shutting down coal fired plants. His radicals are going to drive electric rates through the roof which is going to put even more pressure on our failing economy. Can you say terrible DEPRESSION? Even now the economy is failing, Obama's nutcases are going to put you in the poor house. Worried now?

  • Elton Robb

Actually, we have a small impact on Extreme Climate. Much of our weather is Space driven. We depend on the Sun to flare to make sure our atmosphere expands. Without it, it collapses, a factor in creating ice ages.
