In a rude awakening for many, a practicing Muslim, Yusuf Ibrahim, 28, is in police custody after a double murder took place in New Jersey. Reports indicate that police discovered last Thursday the remains of two men form Jersey City whose heads and hands had been cut of and buried southwest of Philadelphia. The two men were members of a close knit Coptic Orthodox Church.
Investigators say Ibrahim shot and killed the victims, severed their heads and hands, and buried the remains at a Buena Vista house.
Back in Jersey City, friends of the victims are praying that police will have the answers to the questions that now haunt them.
The killing evokes the passage in the Quran:
"When thy Lord was revealing to the angels, 'I am with you; so confirm the believers. I shall cast into the unbelievers' hearts terror; so smite above the necks, and smite every finger of them!" -- Qur'an 8:12
The ex-roommate of Ibrahim, Emma Abdelrehim, is shocked. Yes, that's right, she claims to be shocked that her ex-roommate would be charged with decapitating two men. "He was an awesome person, awesome with kids, and he would never harm anyone, not even an animal,” Abdelrehim said. “What I saw on TV and what I read I could not believe. That is not his character, and I don’t think he has done such a crime.”
Privately some wonder if it had something to do with the victims' religion. Nah, couldn't be that, could it?
I suppose we should pause a moment and ask a serious question here. Was this just some "peaceful" Muslim who all of a sudden just went jihad? If so, the next question should be, how many more Muslims are just like this guy? Are similar members of the jihad movement quietly serving in the US government? After all this was the warning issued by Michele Bachmann and several representatives in Congress, for which they were ripped to shreds by the media and the Obama administration.
Pamela Gellar blasts the alarm to people like Ms. Abdelrehim, as she took on Rabbi Bruce Warshal, writing
"1,400 years of jihadi wars and 275 million victims of jihad, and in the present day, 20,247 (and counting) deadly Islamic attacks since 9-11, and the mountains of dead bodies won't stand in the way of this "rabbi" shilling for the most extreme and radical ideology on the planet."
But this isn't just an issue in New Jersey. Last November Shkumbin Sherifi, 22, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to a single count of conspiracy to commit murder for hire along with a co-defendant, former special education teacher Nevine Aly Elshiekh, 47, of Raleigh.
Sherifi, the younger brother of a North Carolina terror suspect that is serving 45 years in prison for plotting an attack on a Marine base, pleaded guilty to plotting to behead government witnesses who testified against his brother.
Folks, that is in my back yard! Those who would follow Islam, not only want to impose their law, but they want to take that law into their own hands. Law will be established. The question before all governments is, whose law? If we don't find a way to deal with Islam in America, it will deal with us.
