After CNN’s Piers Morgan got spanked on national television this week by Gun Owners of America President Larry Pratt, people took to the White House petition site calling for the British host to be deported from the U.S. over his gun control views. Yes, I know, it won’t do any good to do that, but still it’s interesting to see the amount of people participating in the petition.
The petition only went up on the 21st of December and has already garnered 33,360 signatures as of the writing of this article. There is another similar petition that has also received far less signatures.
The petition reads:
British Citizen and CNN television host Piers Morgan is engaged in a hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution by targeting the Second Amendment. We demand that Mr. Morgan be deported immediately for his effort to undermine the Bill of Rights and for exploiting his position as a national network television host to stage attacks against the rights of American citizens.
I don’t expect much by way of this except to say that Piers Morgan is probably enjoying a lot of publicity over this. After all, even bad publicity is still publicity and since CNN is drowning in the ratings of viewers. This only further helps him.
In fact, the Associated Press said that he seemed “unfazed – and even amused.” Apparently he replied on Twitter for those petitioning his deportation to “bring it on.” He followed it up with another Tweet asking if any other countries would have him.
If I do get deported from America for wanting fewer gun murders, are there any other countries that will have me? #havebaggagewilltravel

I was actually thinking since he touts how the United Kingdom is so great, why in the world doesn’t he just go live there? I mean why would you want to live in America if you think it’s such a terrible place and filled with such “absolutely stupid” people. This is how he referred to Mr. Pratt.
Furthermore, I actually think freedom of speech is a good thing here. Larry Pratt was able to profoundly demonstrate what a foolish, ignorant, emotional, silly, “out to lunch,” non-thinking moron that Morgan is. Again, we have the First Amendment to thank for that!
While I have similar sentiments over Morgan as many of these who sign the petition have, I’d just like to remind everyone that the last time the Brits attempted to tell Americans what to do they got their rears handed to them and we sent them packing back across the pond.
