House Dems Play Sexist Card In Defense Of Susan Rice

Earlier in the week Barack Obama lashed out at Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham over their comments concerning United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice's comments about Libya. Noticeably excluded from his list of Republicans was female Senator Kelly Ayotte. Each of the Senators have been vocal about blocking a nomination of Rice as Secretary of State.

“If Senator McCain and Senator Graham want to go after somebody, they should go after me,” Obama said. “But to go after the UN Ambassador who had nothing to do with Benghazi?”

But it didn't stop with Obama. Many liberal Democrat women in the House came out in defense of Rice and attacking the Republican men for their comments against her.

Congressional Black Caucus Rep. Marcia Fudge (D-OH) said in a press conference on Friday, “There is a clear, a clear in my opinion, sexism and racism that goes with these comments that are being made by – unfortunately – Senator McCain and others. And I strongly stand by that statement.”

Hmmm, I wonder if there is anything "racist" about a "Congressional Black Caucus." Oh wait, can't begin with facts with liberal racists as they will dismiss you as a racist and if they are female, they will toss in "sexist" for good measure.

Additionally, Representative Gwen Moore (D-WI) said that John McCain and other "men" should not "attack" or "batter this woman (Rice)."

“What unmitigated gall for these men to attack the permanent representative to the United Nations Susan E. Rice,” Moore said.

“We all understand that all of us have been disappointed in one way or another about the results of the election – but to batter this woman because they don’t feel they have had the ability to batter President Obama is something that we, the women, are not going to stand by and watch," Moore said.

“There was a time when I regarded Mr. McCain in particular as a gentleman. I am sad that this is not one of those moments,” she said.

Oh come on. Should I break out the world's tiniest violin and begin to play? Look Susan Rice is working among men. When she does something that is questionable or wrong, men and women have a right to call her on it. I notice again though that neither of these liberal racist women are dealing with Senator Ayotte. Does Ms. Moore consider her "unladylike" now?

Well here's to Democrat Kristen Powers who at least chided Barack Obama over treating Rice different in this incident because she is a woman. She wrote on Thursday:

It's absurd and chauvinistic for Obama to talk about the woman he thinks should be Secretary of State of the United States as if she needs the big strong man to come to her defense because a couple of Senators are criticizing her.

Believe it or not, Rice isn't the first potential Cabinet nominee to be opposed by members of Congress up on the Hill. Obama also left out the inconvenient detail that there is another senator who has Rice in the crosshairs: Sen. Kelly Ayotte. But perhaps a female Senator holding Rice accountable didn't sound menacing enough in the era of the "War on Women."

Ahhhh yes, when it comes to Senator Kelly Ayotte and the criticism leveled at Ambassador Rice all we hear is.............crickets.

Yes Barack, they are going after you and Fudge's smoke screen racist counter attack. For Fudge, it is not racist to not wanting to accept a Rice appointment to the Secretary job. They oppose her appointment because of WHAT SHE SAID.

  • jim

Lindsey Graham is absolutely right to go after Susan Rice. What she did was an outrage and I would bet that Obama himself gave her the talking points. These black congresswomen know nothing but to play the race card and how in Gods name did they ever get elected. They are totally incompetent.

  • Observant_One

Of course she deserves to be questioned about her motives. As I see it she is one of the mouthpieces for the administration. And as far as obama's "indignation" over the whole matter reminds one of grade school playground nonsense. Obama's misplaced indignation should be placed in that democrat vault where the sun never shines.

  • PlainTruth

Affirmative action doesn't work well for picking a president either.

  • mamasview

The outrage has nothing to do with her sex or her race. IT IS ABOUT HER LIES!!!!

The same goes for the WH Administration! The lies and attacks on the Constitution, not race, are the objections!

    • Observant_One

Sadly the close obamabots will parrot his words, and when they are under fire for stating what they were told to say, they get appropriately crucified. Then the head bot gets to play "Indignant Bot", to the delight of the liberals, and to the utter amazement and disgust of the normal people.

The Democrats specialty is to claim Racism or sexism anytime they don't like what is said about any Democrat but they are the first to use the very same thing when a Republican is involved but they don't claim Racism or Sexism then. Democrats are the breaking the laws of the United States in larger numbers than any other Political party does and they believe they are above the laws they make for the rest of us to obey but they scream louder than anyone else and cry foul more than anyone does even if there was nothing foul and it jest seems to be there favorite word except Racism if it happens to be a Black person even though they get away with more than any other Race of people jest for the fact of being Black. The Black people have been using that excuse for so long they have found it will work to their favor 9 of 10 times they scream. They use Racism the same way chicken little uses the Sky is falling and one day they are going to be called on it and it will cost them big time.

Susan Rice is Obama’s choice for secretary of state because
she will tell any lie Obama tells her too. She lied to all of America for many
days about what took place in Benghazi. It is a sad state of affairs when the qualifications
for secretary of state are the ability to lie to the American citizens with a
    straight face.

  • grenn

All this means, when there is criticism against the Repubs is they are getting closer to the truth on Benghazi.

    • jim

They have to keep going and get to the bottom of this corrupt administration.

This is NOT sexist- - I AM a woman and the Rice broad is just a worthless as the rest of this "regime"- -during her tenure as "our" un representative - -she DID NOT represent US; she represented the "fake, rogue regime" that squats in the White House!

Liberals (on both sides of the political aisle), loves to play the Gender / Sex victim Card, among all the other cards, except when it comes to defending the women of the Republican Party- eg; Gov. and then VP Nominee Sarah Palin, and long afterwards..

Their obvious blatant overt hypocrisy knows no bounds of audacity and arrogance.. What else is new with people who have no integrity, no honor, no shame, no respect, no dignity as a civilized human being.. That's why they are what they are..

But we will not be blinded by their ignorant arrogant projectionist propaganda and lies.. aka their outright hypocrisy of proclaimed victimization - ie; erroneous false self-righteous indignation BS..

Prevarication does not discriminate...it allows itself to be used by any race, creed, or sex.

I'm a woman, and I also wonder what the heck Adm. Rice was doing. An honorable person doesn't knowingly go before the public on five separate shows, five days after this attack, and spout lies given to them by the White House. If she "took their word for it" and later found out what they told her to say wasn't the truth, she should have had the guts to say so publicly, and let the chips fall where they may in this corrupt administration. It's called "personal integrity" if the liberals out there are unfamiliar with the phrase.

I applaud Senators Kelly Ayotte, Lindsey Graham, and John McCain for having the guts to call the White House on this one. A lot more, Republicans and Democrats alike, should be doing the same thing. The more we find out about this mess in the current hearings taking place, the deeper the cover-up goes. All involved in this should be prosecuted.

    • Observant_One

Personal integrity is an extremely small part of the typical liberal's psyche.

    • SouthernLadyNC

Yes, and it is a crying shame.

  • jvb1980808

These same people held no such sentiments when they were allowing attacks on Republican women of such character assassination that even one or two hard core members of NOW were forced to wag a finger after a couple of their attacks. Is you is or is you ain't against sexism? Or should liberals be honest enough to add 'only if it involves liberal women.'

  • DOOM

if Rice had nothing to do with Benghazi, why did Obama send her on five Sunday morning talk shows to lite to the public about Benghazi? But my favorite pay of this Evans is when Obama ends his dodging of questions on Benghazi by saying that he'd be happy to have the conversation on Benghazi.

  • neleh

I don't care if someone is green with purple polka dots. If they don't do their job, go after them!! Hearing the "race card" excuse is extremely worn out

    • ladyceo

It certainly is, neleh! I am sick & tired of it , too.

It is what liberals do; when truth and logic fails them and there is nothing more to be said in defense of their position, the hate speech comes out and cries of racism, sexism or some other ism are levelled against the opposition. Liberals are the radical muslims of American politics; when you agree with them they love you and defend your right to your beliefs, but when you are in opposition you are infidels worthy only of destruction.

  • J J

The Democrats are always playing some card or other. That doesn't change reality or why the Senators don't approve of Rice. Granted, Rice probably only did and said what she was instructed to but that only puts the monkey back on Barack's back. He should never have put her into that position - it should have been Hillary that was in the hot seat.

    • dhmill

No one seems to be paying much attention to Hillary but consider this, she is very vocally in favor of the U.N. Gun Control Treaty. Does anyone remember that she wanted to be the President? If Obamam decides that he does not want to continue as President in 2016, Hillary Clinton may decide to try again. Bill of course wants to be back in the White House one way or another. LOL Hillary as a Democrat wants us to be dis-armed. I remember what happened in Hungry when they were dis-armed. And I remember what happened to them in 1956 when they tried to get their freedoms back.

The Democrats will tell you that it's a measure against crime! But look at the escalation of crime in Austrailia after their citizens were dis-armed.

    • jim

Hillary was too smart to be sacrificed by Obama.

  • SEBtopdog

Too bad Obama wasn't as outraged over the 4 dead Americans in Benghazi as the feigned outrage he displayed because a reporter questioned him about Susan Rice. It's all theater.

    • ladyceo

Just doing what he does best, SEB!

    • Observant_One

Indeed, all theatre, and very poorly directed.
